Hi all, you gang of pingpingpingpings

A few people in the Senna discussion thread mentioned they were keen for a group viewing, well here's a chance for something like that. A mate of mine is looking at booking a special screening (Gold Class) of the Ayrton Senna movie on August 13th, and we are looking to get the numbers needed to make this go ahead. We can have a minimum of 26 to a maximum of 34, at the moment we have 11 confirmed so 15+ seats available.

Innaloo cinemas, 6pm, Saturday August 13th. This is copied direct off the facebook event page with the details:

Hey Guys,

I extend an invitation to my friends and the petrol heads residing in the sleepy little town of Perth. With the assistance of Event Cinema's I have managed to organise a one off private screening of the documentary about one of the most revered and worldly celebrated icons in the history of F1 - Ayrton Senna.

Tickets cost $80.25 per seat. (I need payment by the 29th, msg me for details)
Start time is 18:00.

For a second, imagine sitting back in sheer comfort whilst your waited on, as your senses are assaulted when your strapped into the seat of an MP4, stunned in sheer awe as Senna tears around a track, say Donnington, in the wet? You will be plummeted into this seemingly Hollywood characters life on and off the track, you will experience all his influences and his achievements are celebrated through this film.

Start time is 18:00 with half an hour to meet and greet before we are ushered into the cinema at 18:30.
For your money you get;
• Arrival beverage – sparkling, beer, or wine
• Bread & Dips Platter served in the lounge - Hummus and guacamole, served with toasted Turkish slices, grissini sticks, marinated olives and feta-stuffed peppers

• In Cinema - sparkling, beer, or wine
Tasting Plate to consist of:
• Our unique mini Beef burger with sweet tomato relish, cheese & fresh tomato
• Tempura-battered Flat Head, served with beer-battered bad boy chips
• Chicken Skewer with roasted capsicum and onion with satay peanut sauce

I will be asking again shortly for full payment for your tickets. You wont actually receive your tickets until the event. Initial estimates are 26 seats, however we have the ability to expand to 34. If you know anyone who would be interested please invite them too. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask me either.

So basically, if you are interested in this, post or PM me on here. I will have payment details by tomorrow, should we not have the numbers money will be refunded. No "maybe" about it, we need to know confirmed numbers cos we don't want to waste peoples time over this. Got until the end of this week basically, and hopefully this will be able to go ahead!!

Cheers guys,

Nathan

If it wasn't $80 a head and I didn't have a game down in Rockingham at that time I'd be keen!

I've heard now that this wasn't going to be openly released, so yeah. It may go ahead anyway, but it's that price because it's gold class & also a specially booked screening. Meh

LOL cause everyone is down for handing 80 bucks over to a mate of a dude on a forum for an event that isn't even organised and tickets wont be handed out for.

You sir, are the fucking idiot ;)

Do you really think I'd let people get ripped off, considering quite a few people know who I am??? I've been around here for a lot longer than you have, try & use some common sense dickhead, instead of trying to make an impression.

Just so everyone knows, this event is now full as we have reached the 34-person capacity.

No doubt you know more people, but you were the one that was surprised at the lack of interest, I know which end the common sense is lacking at.

One thing you didn't mention though, was this cinema screening the extended version??

Do me a favour & just give up now?? If you actually read my post, you would see that I put it up on here as people from antilag had expressed interest in a specialised viewing. So of course I assumed that interest would be enough to have more people interested in this screening. Turns out that wasn't the case, but unlike yourself people who weren't keen just did the normal thing & didn't post. But at the end of the day I'm looking forward to this!

Alex is organising it, Regan & Adrian got a decent number on board for it but if you work there I thought they would have spoken to you about it lol
