to be honest these rims are really growing on me :/ i think the old skool theme of them is kind of in place , may look at removing the middle and getting them powder coated gold again or maybe a gunmetal or even white ? , i will try get a better side on shot ...

I seriously considered buying your rex ! few bits i want to sort out on it like rattly rear struts/shocks , its a great car to drive gears are midget short ! so responsive in the steering department almost to east to drive (probs because i been trying to throw 1700kg worth of commodores around :/ )

Had a play around today only to realize stock boost is 0.9 ! I have been running around on 0.6 bar , would it up to original 0.9 and went for a lap , pic with the Te37's on ...

Few things im keen on doing to the car only small mods but should keep me happy for a bit , coilovers , BOV (maybe) , find some fog covers , and do a front 4 pot conversion off a late model rex , with the brake conversion is it just calipers and lines needed or rotors too ? , going to take the car to sik em rex when i get back from holiday for some new oils and loving , any one got coilovers,bov or brakes there looking to sell ? cheers , thanks c.rusli :D

just picked up some 4pot front and 2 pot rears off a late model with new slotted rotors :) undecided on which color to paint the calipers ? any ideas ?

just paint them black. You changing the backing plates on the rear to fit those calipers?

Painted up the 4 pots in a gun metal metallic, then got the missis awesome nail painting techniques on the the Subaru logo and cleared the lot, got some DBA 4000 rotors too, with any luck they should be on tomorrow ....

Just wanted to know what the go with this car is with regards to originality, as is listed on gumtree as an original 1995 STI/ RA and Perth WRX as the same, but there was a for sale thread that has been deleted on this forum that stated it was a mock up/ re shell, the owner Mark swore blue murder to myself on the phone it was an original STI/RA and even had the tags to prove it and had never been on Antilag as only owns imports no commodore, that is classic, or case of mistaken identity.

I am a genuine buyer, I know there aren't many of these on the roads and have already looked at a so called original 97 STI the other day (was a WRX) and the owner of this vehicle swore it was an original STI/RA on the compliance and am sick of people telling outright lies and trying to rip people of.

Tell everyone it's a re-shell and there is no problem end of story.

Hey Highroller, No guy swore it was a genuine RA and I asked specifically if it was a reshell and he said no compliance was genuine STI/RA, name was Mark and had owned the car for 9 months the guy I talked to on the phone.

Yes just saw the new listing on gumtree from 40minutes ago ( previous listing was 7 hours ago), advert has been changed and now lists aussie shell so all good.
