HAZMAT Consultant
The Consultancy:
With nearly 20 years of service, this WA owned and operated Environmental consultancy is considered to be the market leader in their chosen niche. While many follow trends, this close knit, family friendly team set the pace with their progressive approach to Environmental Assessments, Auditing and Management, while their technical excellence and impeccable service delivery has built them an enviable, national client base.
Having only recently expanded their team, they have picked up more project work from their existing blue chip clients base. As a result they have an immediate need for a suitably qualified and experienced environmental scientist (or engineer) to join their established team as a Hazardous Materials Consultant team here in Perth.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will work as part of the project team both in the field and in the office, with the prime purpose being to complete HAZMAT site audits and reports for a number of unique and ongoing programs.
Each day, you will have the opportunity to extend your expertise working on a wide variety of hazardous materials and environmental compliance projects predominantly based here in Perth and interstate visits on a quarterly basis or as when required. Projects include major Hospitals, Shopping centres’ and iconic Commercial and Industrial buildings.
You:
A number of industry backgrounds may suit the current team dynamic but ideally you will have proven experience in conducting Hazardous Materials monitoring, assessment and reporting for commercial/industrial buildings and further have:
•100% commitment to OH&S
•A relevant Environmental Science (or Engineering) qualification
•Excellent verbal & written communication skills (technical report writing)
•Competency in the use of instrumentation and testing equipment
•Experience in a similar role working between both site and office
•Full work rights for Australia
