Hey guys!

got into my car yesterday morning and tried to put it into reverse to back out of my driveway and it wouldnt go into reverse , I tried putting it into other gears and it wouldnt go in. So i forced it into reverse and it just crunched automaticly jumped backwards and stalled. got out popped the bonnet to check on bent brackets or anything and couldnt see anything wrong. Got into the car put it into reverse and clutch in and started it... the gears were fine from there. I got into my car this morning how ever and did exactly the same thing and the clutch was really really heavy and so I put it into reverse and started the car and the gears were fine!. Got to work and turned off my car to unlock the gate. got back into my car and it did go into first but not easily. My guess the chaps at automasters didnt put enough oil in it as it was really smooth shifting before I took it there and the box was makn a wining noise the weekend. Any IDEAS?????

if automasters were tinkering, take it back there

I would rather not because it seems like they dont know what they are doing and they may cause another issue. I will try oil tonight anyways but just after anyone elses opinions

might be hydraulic issue,
clutch not bled properly?

Check ur fluid, top it up if necessary, but i know from experience that AE92/3 series corolla gb's are really crunchy, ive never had too much of a problem gettin g it into gear, but mine will crunch hk while at high revs. Could b ****ed, but im not a mechanic, so dont listen to me :)

My solution would have been welcome to the world of crappy Twincam boxes . . .

I went through 2 boxes in my GTi, and thats exactly how they started off giving me issues. The wining noise is probably busted bearing/and or broken gear teeth, and the fact that the gears are hard to get in would suggest your synros are screwed.

Prepare yourself for another minced box

lol no wories dude! that was the reason for my last box because the syncros in 2nd 3rd and 4th were gone as well as reverse.
