No speedo on 32 gtr

Hey guys

Last night i went for a drive and suddenyl the speedo stopped working.
I had given it a bit of a boot and started slowing down when suddenly it stopped working :squint:

Would this just be a speedo cable problem?
Has anyone experienced this before?
I only just bought the car so dont know to much about it but as the Topic says its a 32 gtr so yeh any help would be gratley appreciated!

i would say its the cable, it happened to a mates GTR when it came in

ring nissan for a new one, my mate ended up super glu-ing his to get it over the pits haha, coz he had to wait 2weeks for the new cable to arrive & he wanted it rego'd asap. he never did say if it broke again before the new one turned up!

might want to check that everything is where it should be behind the dash before buying new cables etc?

TJ - How much/hard is it to fix the thing and who would you recomend to fix it.

hyperdrive if ur NOR
xspeed if your SOR
c-red if your east

you need to get a cable first though...

Retail price on cable is $122 odd and will take about 1hr to fit.

could be a cracked solenoid. my car does it sometimes i just give the dash a bit of a tap and it goes again no problem. most places u can take it and they can take it out and scan it for cracks... not too expensive i dont think... i never got the bill for it

can u test if the problem is at the cluster or at box? take out cable from box end, attatch the key bit to a drill, spin her up and c if the speedo gauge moves. Or, pull out cluster n check to see if its loose at the back, or maybe someones been fiddling with it and your speedo needle is ferked or is pushed on too hard and is sticking.
Or maybe the cable is just snapped like everyone else said. lol

all 32s are mech then 33 on elecky
