The car has had most of the work done at RMS, feel free to call stechnic and speak to David or Leigh from Bussleton subaru service if you want. Have all receipts for pretty much everything done including servicing/mods/wheel alignments totaling around $60k (only the mods). Car is in pristine condition and is all shiny from being detailed. The car has been tracked in its early life but has been taken care of with frequent oil changes/services etc to ensure its maintained well. This is a good opportunity to own one of the better looking/handling GC8s in WA. It has a lot of push/pull with virtually no lag and feels like its on rails so it would be perfect for a track car or hard street car depending on what you are after.

Is it still for sale? or did you just copy/paste an add because lazy?

Yes it is, I said at the start Im copying my forsale post at Perth-wrx.com so I didn't have to list everything again. I'll take out that paragraph from it though.

What is with WRX's having mud flaps on them?
Are they actually used for rally events or is it some subi thing?
Nice car though, looks the goods.

going out on a limb here but judging by that metal looking frame work in the rear... but unless its some intricate shopping bag hanger id hazard a guess and say yes it is used or has been used for some form of motorsport...

that and ive heard rumour that WRXs were used in rallys on the world stage in past times too! some colin guy used to race them but its just rumours ive heard may not be true!

:D

They race Holdens, too. Don't see me with a T wing, though. Same principal.

I don't know much about Subi's, but I don't mind the look of these older ones. Seems serious enough though. Going to be doing any events in it?

99% pure wank to be honest.

Colin won a WDC in one, so your street GC8 is an instant rally car if you add these.

No offense of course, but thems the truths.

Because Holden drivers think its "JAP CRAP".

If the Holden boys dressed their cars up semi looking like V8 supercars I might give it a second look.

Correct sir, if you read the build carefully you would notice the bonds bolt in rollcage and stripped interior and also the paragraph I deleted but the first guy quoted lol. When the car was originally being built it was used for a bit of motorsport indeed and had 6 pot AP racing brakes. I also believe that the oil was changed everytime as the owner was very careful.

Not exactly, on the last cruise before the bumper was reprayed the guys infront of me were constantly flicking pebbles and I ended up with a bunch of stone chips even at a good 10 metres. So at least no one behind me copped it :D But yea, I just wanted the rally look. Most cosmetic things serve no functions (lips, coloured lug nuts etc) but we still put them on.

Hey, I'm gonna guess andy from former RMS? I didnt know it had those plates, that woudlve been sweet to still be there, would be worth a bit now.

Yellow sticker was easy and a pingpingpingping. Just had to get an engineers report/signatory for the rollcage and buckets which was fine but failed because the exhaust was 2 decibals too loud so just temp swapped it. But I passed easily the next time, guess it depends if you get a pingpingpingping of an examiner. The engine bay is pretty neat so they didn't have any problems with anything, just turned the boost controller to 'off' so the car was at 0.5 bar instead of 1.5 making it slow with no blow off valve sound.

If I was planning on keeping it then yes I would be, mostly just skidpans and tunings days atm. Car is still WAY faster than me (did an 11.9 1/4 mile on my one and only go when I got the new tyres on). Still learning it :)

Don't sell it man... just garage it and buy a $1500 excel or something. You're gonna regret it :(

Chum

Mate I really don't want to sell it. Its by far the best car I've ever driven and probably will. Even the last owner recently drove with me and he was amazed at why he sold it in the first place. I also have a hyndai accent in the family that I use.

But I have to sell it, moving house and its hard for a 21yo uni student to pay insurance, maintainance, rent, fuel. Also carry a lot of music equipment such as guitars/amps etc and I need something more practical. Im already regretting it just being on the market, but I gotta do what I gotta do.
