What do you have?

I collect retro gaming gear. Some games are worth good coin, some are worthless. All depends on condition also.

PM with what you have, if it fits in with what I need I might buy it off you. :)

He is asking too much for the majority of the gear. Though in good nick, very good prices can be paid, I myself wouldn't pay what he is asking.

Packs go cheaper than selling items individually (generally) only catch is the only games worth selling separately are the popular ones, or the rare/sought after ones. Majority of the other games are worthless, unless they are in perfect condition, then you can generally get good coin all round.

I personally hunt around for packs (makes building the collection cheaper) and rarely sell on items unless I have heaps of duplicates, or the gear isn't in good enough condition to keep.

Too bad you don't have boxes for the games BLAAA - prices increases significantly for games in original boxes, also cartridge label condition means a couple extra dollars if it is all sweet! I'll check what I have at home, I might be looking to replace some of my cartridges so will make an offer on your lot if it suits my needs!

PS. Most expensive NES game is valued at about $56,000 US dollars (couple years back now).

There was a story of someone paying $56,000 for 1990 Nintendo World Championships: Gold Edition (NES) - can't remember if it was for a private collection or a charity function but I'll see if I can find the story again! There was also a story of one guy finding the exact game for sale at a garage sale as well, and picking it up for $1. Owner didn't know what they had.

Most old consoles and games aren't worth sh*t....(notice how I say most, not all okay)

Many people put up some bullsh*t prices, whilst you'll find some that are quite reasonable.

An example of this are people trying to sell Sega Dreamcasts for $100-200 or whatever - we bought ours for about $50 or so, came with games as well.

Classic SNES games such as Donkey Kong Country, which is one of the best SNES games....got it for free, same as Battletoads.

Another example is PS1 FF8 original copies, non-platinum. Last year many were asking $100-200 for these....managed to buy off ebay for $20 delivered, mint condition.

Gametraders etc are rip off merchants. In the end, it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay (especially some of the prices they've tried to sell old Final Fantasy games for, f*cking scumbags, makes me mad!)

Any of those games listed in original boxes and shit?

@1JZVL - spot on.

Still can get a good deal if people check around the place! GumTree has had some epic finds too, often in the free section!
