Was on the way to work this morning and using my usual route

Abit rather unlucky today...

saw the white light flashes..
will i get chopped with the fines? or no?

I know speed camera works both way (opposite direction)
but wasnt sure if it works 3-4 ways on the intersection

Intersection of Reid hwy and malaga drive

The one outside my place (Bungaree/Leach) doesn't get you going along Bungaree, as it points in the direction of leach hwy.

I know this, because you can go through this road with about $80 in your pocket, no dramas.

I hope this doesn't help you in the slightest.

Did you turn at intersection, or going straight??

They're triggered as you enter the intersection. If you were already out past the sensors it shouldn't of flashed at you, maybe someone else.

Trucks always run the red light turning right onto Malaga Dr off Reid HWY so Idd say its set up to catch people turning right as well as going straight through.

From looking at the photo, I can't see how or why you would have triggered that East-West camera when you're heading North.. ?

While we are on the topic, on Beaufort street/Central ave intersection. there is a Red light camera on Beaufort street. Have seen a taxi driver get flashed when turning right onto central ave, with a green arrow :S

Was going Straight up / North-way

That's why i was wondering =/

Though this is the new camera with the speed radar built in.

and i was definitely sure that i wasn't even speeding too..

in other note, i realizes that The Red Light and Stationary speed camera are everywhere now! Fkkk meee...

Yeah man, every morning I watch at least 5 or 6 cars get pinged around the corner from my place. The fact that they aren't sign posted as speed cameras is dodgy as fuck IMO!

I heard they were plannign to put them in nearly every intersection, and somethign like 5 new ones are put up everyday. Could be bs though, because a woman told me.

I got pinged at the Canning Hwy / Riseley Rd Intersection. 69 in a 60 zone.

Yea have seen a few being put up recently, they really should be signed like over east as then it is guarenteed to SLOW people down. If they don't sign it as a speed camera then it's there for revenue in my eyes...

However still fun to watch it flash as people run the red light and get double raped! In your case though I can't see that pinging you as I seen it go up and it's not facing in your direction so who knows?

Go back and check if there are cuts in the road where the sensors would be where you think you got flashed

Anyone notice how they all have little "CCTV in this area" stickers on them now?

The flash unit at Hepburn/Marmion kept getting adjusted/aimed down to the ground.

There should be more of this ! In the UK there are sites dedicated to destroying these fucking things. Apparently builders foam is brilliant at killing them.

they have installed a quiet a few of them recently around reid and surrounding intersections.

Reid/Malaga
Reid/Mirrabooka
Yirrigan/Mirrabooka
Reid/Mitchell fwy
Beach Rd/Mirrabooka
Morley/Alexander drive

these are the ones I've noticed NOR when driving around - im sure there's many spots like this.

Chris - i'd say you're safe.

to add to the list

Hepburn/Wanneroo
facing south on wanneroo road.

Also
you should be fine, the camera only works on the traffic going south ie towards the city on malaga dr or turning right onto reid hwy.

Reid and Mirrabooka doesnt have one - its been a red light camera for about a decade.

Could be wrong... remember driving through only a few days ago and i thought i saw the camera and separate speed post setup - but i'll check.

Tonight: Yirrigan/Mirrabooka saw a guy get flashed while turning right into Yirrigan from the middle lane, obviously going straight the red was still on and he went across the sensors.

Red Light Cameras only take a picture of you driving "away" from it. They don't take frontal or side-on shots.

Tonkin/Collier has the loops in the road installed. Camera hasn't gone up yet.

Get trapster, problem solved. You should be right, the cameras only work on traffic travelling the direction the camera is pointing, as far as I am aware. If in doubt, go back to Malaga drive and check for censors in the road.
