Looking at buying some Whiskey from some American online stores that is unavailable from Aussie stores or try to sell for crackpipe prices . Would like some advice from anyone if they done it or tried.
Would they accept purchases from International buyers?
Would customs have a issue with it?

Yeah not that much after the rare breed, just really a afterthought...the main ones are the Jim Beams and Makers Mark ones.

How high are the taxes these days? Would it negate the savings you would make?

I buy a shit load of top shelf scotch on a regular basis and ship it in. You will receive a letter from customs when it arrives telling you you must pay excise before it is released nothing major then you can go pick it up usually from the Australia Post depot behind the customs joint at the airport. Easy as mate.

Where from?
And what's the excise like in comparison to item cost? :)

A Bottle of Ardbeg Supernova or Uigeadail usually works out at 40-80 bucks a bottle cheaper. Rare blends of Singleton, Bruichladdich, Jura ect are more readily available as well. With the exchange rates it would be even better. I'm about to put my order in for this year so I'll let you know what it ends up like.
If you can't be bothered doing it all yourself I can recommend De vine Cellars in Inglewood and it's sister shop in North Perth will be able to source or maybe even have the item your looking for in stock. The prices are reasonable as well.

Jim Beam Rye aprox $30 + postage
Wild Turkey Rare Breed aprox $57 + postage
Could only find a couple, sorry about that.
To chase down the other items or to get them any cheaper I'd have to ring around some sales reps. Its a bit of work but if you cant find them anywhere else let me know and I'll see what else I can do

Ardbeg Supernova
Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 15yr Old *

I have been procuring these locally, however I'm a little over being raped each time by local suppliers so I have taken to mainly getting them in from various parts of the country now. South Australia has some decent supplier with good ranges.

Yeah it was hey :D I think the Thomas H Handy Sazerac is better though Az... Just wait till you try that. I'll defiantly have a bottle for the house warming.
I'm very keen to get my hands on the Eagle Rare 17yr Old and try that... though I'm also very keen to try the 20yr old Pappy. Decision decisions... :p
