saw this on ninemsn.. If I noticed this on google earth I would of thought nothing of it. They have been to mars, dont see why its hard to beleive there is a structure of some sort there. They are forever researching the planet.

However thats alot of materials to freight, would need to have something very large to transport it OR do lots of trips. Would have to be flatpacked by IKEA. Would also need to be very strong to stand the sandstorms

Photo has already been debunked on AboveTopSecret - that top bit is the underside of the solar panels (you can see reflections on it), so it's not the structure that people think it is...lol.

They already know of ice on Mars, it has polar ice caps just like on our planet except the ones on Mars don't float cause there's no ocean and are mainly made up of CO2 anyway.

Yeah, Mars has a massive ice sheet over it's North Pole. People are speculating that this white artefact is either a really large sheet of CO2 ice, or a reflection off a small sheet.

The resolution is so low, I don't know how anyone can claim it's this or that though. But it's no secret that there is ice on Mars. In fact, I think it's Titan that also has ice water on its surface, giving the possibility of life there too. There's another Moon orbiting either Jupiter or Saturn with similar properties. The fact is, we could have bugs living in our own solar system and up until now we didn't even consider it as a possibility. The sky is damn interesting.

In a somewhat related note, did anyone see the fucking huge comet shoot overhead on Sunday night? I was out past Wickepin spotlighting, and just as I had a fox lined up with the 17, the whole sight went bright green and this fuckoff huge comet streaked down directly in line of where I was aiming, and fragmented as it got low enough into the atmosphere. Made a huge sonic boom and pretty much made any more shooting that night redundant, as it made everything on the property fuck off. I'd say that it landed within 50 clicks of where we were.

This is the problem, however... All it takes is NASA to come along and say "This is 'x'", and everyone sighs and agrees. Even if it was a "bio station", it only takes a shake of the head from NASA and everyone agrees.

In this case, I'm pretty certain (being an astrophysicist and all, lol) that it's ice or some other natural reflection/artefact, but I don't take a press release from NASA as gospel.
