One of the best selling franchises this generation. Why wouldn't it be the same? Unlike for example Fable. Fable 1 was awesome, for fable 2 lets change EVERYthing, oh wait its crap.
Command and Conquer aswell. One of the best RTS franchises ever, lets just change everything for C&C4 = crap.

Dont break something thats not broken, aslong as its good and fixes problems with the last version I'm happy.

I just got it. It's not bad, graphics are console quality even on Extra settings. It's your typical run and gun and so long as the gun is in their general direction they die. It's a totally different game to BF3, but decent if you just wanna run around and smash people. You can shoot through some walls etc which means people are just spraying everywhere. Somehow there were like 5 enemy choppers up at once in a TDM level..

MW3 multiplayer is definitely MW2 with a fresh coat.

Campaign is BRILLIANT!

Multiplayer, same old really. Don't need to aim accurately, just spray bullets. Maps are tiny, matchmaking is fucked (Level 1 vs Level 15+). Still lots of fun, but for a challenge BF3 wins.

Have been playing all morning and reached level 21 online. Hate the fact that you have to play normal mode until level 19 before you can move into hardcore. Spray and pray is still an option but you are rewarded with much easier kills if you take the time and aim. Guns are all kind of the same so far, not much difference between them all. Not a perfect game but still pretty fun.

IMO BF3 shits all over this. The whole hit detection thing Adrian is on about is a joke. I have no issues hitting people in BF3. In this game though it's like 2 people are in a firefight, it takes a split second and then decides a victor. It certainly has fuck all to do with skill. I was getting nailed by a team of people (giggidy!) Literally just wailed in their direction with a stock gun (was only level 2) and then took out like 5 of them. It's almost like they are taking the piss. It's clearly aimed at all the little 12 year olds that were going spastic at EB this morning.

Game is sick, I like it more than battlefield 3. For some reason the graphics on Xbox are better than battlefield 3 even with the HD pack installed. The 5 choppers on the screen at ones is called a strafe run, 5 choppers plow up and then down the map and then leave.

One thing that is pissing me off is no more Black Ops style diving. Diving was awesome for getting behind cover and shit, now I run then crouch then fall down and I'm dead. I'm really enjoying the game but it kind of feels like some of the innovation to the franchise they made in Black Ops has just reverted back to same old MW2 style.

To all of you bitching about this game, YES it is just MW2 with new maps, gun leveling and some new killstreaks but after all the hype about how great BF3 was going to be it ended up just Bad Company 2.5... Both games are good but neither is really a huge step forward from the previous games.

Thats a matter of opinion and the same could be said about BF3. One thing I have noticed is that noobs in MW3 are a good thing, they are easy kills and if they are on your team it doesn't matter because you can pretty much lone wolf everything, on the other hand BF3 is full of noobs that ruin the game. The amount fo times I spawn in a chopper thinking we are going to fly in and provide some cover fire and next thing I know I the pilot parachute out and we hit a building killing all of us in it except him is fucking stupid. Same as going to get in a vehicle and one guy drives off and leaves the whole team to walk the whole way, medics that dont give health packs, support that dont give ammo, your entire team deciding they all want to be snipers and hide on a roof somewhere when your are the attackers on rush etc. just ruins the game. I suppose what I am saying is BF3 is REALLY good but only when you have a good team of mates playing with you, MW3 is alot easier to pick up and enjoy.

I think MW3 is the best of all the COD games to date.

Really enjoying kill confirmed seems to be the fastest action and there is a lot of tactic involved in getting or not getting the dog tags.

Bloody FFA has the highest number of corner campers I have ever seen though.

Have had similar problems with PS3 every now and then, but not consistently.

For some reason MW3 is shit at picking hosts. Black Ops would ensure that almost every player had a full connection, and once it found a good host it stuck with it. MW3 will find a good host, nothing will change, then the next game it picks some fucking shit host and gives everyone a yellow/red connection.

Any idea if this will get better? It's shitting me at the moment.

See I am getting the same result as you but actually like it !
Black ops always made me the host(as I have quick connection) and had some built in lag for the host(on ps3), they played with the settings on it heaps but never seem to got it right.
One of the patchs made it so bad it was unplayable as host. Thats why BOPS had so many host quits and MW3 doesn't.

Do get some laggy games on mw3 but it varies heaps so you get a taste of all flavours. Just have to log out / in or change tactics.
When you get a good ping though its like xmas 5 to 1 KDR or go home !

I am pretty dissapointed that all the props in the game, destroyed cars in the street, cranes, boxes and shit are all exactly the same as MW2 surely in 2 years you can desing some better stuff.

Have had similar problems with PS3 every now and then, but not consistently.

For some reason MW3 is shit at picking hosts. Black Ops would ensure that almost every player had a full connection, and once it found a good host it stuck with it. MW3 will find a good host, nothing will change, then the next game it picks some fucking shit host and gives everyone a yellow/red connection.

Any idea if this will get better? It's shitting me at the moment.

Yeah it must have been picking some dodgy games as I found some decent games later on in the night.

I have to say tho, as much as I'm enjoying this game, it still has the same rage-quit inducing issues from the previous versions. IE: lag, shit hosts and that frustration of watching Kill Cam knowing you used a full clip only to see yourself not firing while the guy who killed you fires 2 bullets.

First time playing onlin last night. I will admit i was total crap. Played "free for all" and got made piss over and over. Started to get better after around hours playing.
How the hell do ya acsess airstrikes and control drones? Do you have to get better ranking?

The stock classes have some basic kill streak rewards. You need to kill x number of people without dying to access them. The support streaks add up kills and ignore your deaths.

Once you rank up you can access custom classes and choose your kill streaks. You still need to keep ranking up though to unlock the different ones.

What platform(PC/Xbox/Ps3) you playing on ?
