bet that gets some interesting looks haha. have you ever seen 2dmax or 2demax or something similar? rodeo but also 4L toyo motor, makes decent power. the owner also supercharged my dads 91 soarer.

i have always been a huge fan of the 4L motor, 4L x 8Cyl x 4cams = perfect, add some forced induction and its a party.

hahaha cheers fellas so far all i've done is had a custom exhaust made by andy butler as it was running some shitty log style exhaust manifolds. when i took it down the plex it did a 14.1 @ 97mph but that was with the old exhaust, also the supercharger was just put on and not tuned so thats next on the list of things to do as well as some bigger brakes. as for the paint i'm not to sure what the actuall colour is called.
its running an auto and a lux diff

yeah mate rear drums there are a couple of options with brakes hoppers stoppers do a twin piston 330mm rotor kit and you can also get a hub kit and use a BA falcon rotor and r33 skyline caliper if you have a look on toyota mods there is a full run down of it on there i tried to post the link but it left me a message saying i was gay and drove a lancer hahahaha lol

The m90 blowers are pretty much maxed out on a 1uz, if you want big powers you need the m112

Was going to suggest the same thing. While think that 1SPRINT's 1UZ+M90 combo looks super neat, and no doubt makes a good amount of power, but unless only using it for low boost im not sure an M90 would have been quite enough. M90's are a great and proven blower for heaps of extra torque and helping alot of cars make decent numbers, but... and i might be a little bit biased, IMO if you're using an M90 because you are chasing power, they really are more at home on the Holden 3.8L V6's and dont really do the larger capacity/8 cylinder motors justice.

As a straight comparison, running the same boost on the same motor, the larger M112 will move the air cooler and more efficiently than an M90, obviously resulting in less heatsoak and more ponies. Not to mention over revving an M90 blower to reach the same boost as larger ones will will damage the bearings and teflon coating inside. Whilst doing some research on blowers i stumbled across an article involving a 1UZFE. He stated that using an M112 he could push 15psi with a redline of 6,200rpm without over revving the blower. Now that would be moving!

My M112 is right at home sitting on top of my 5L, and is in its element running 11psi boost :)

Yep HTV1900s are good for 300rwkw+ on an unopened UZ, the M90 gives a nice power boost over stock but not really in the same ballpark. At least theyre cheap :)

just out of curiosity what superchargers do "bullit" generally sell as their upgrade package for this motor? i only ask because my dad has one, and with supporting work and smaller pulley it is topping out at around 300rwhp and 10psi. sure delivers it with a fair bit of a whack though.

might just hold off mentioning it to him and have a look at what you go with to see what i think i should recommend to him.

A good thing with Harrop chargers is I think they do an water to air aftercooler that sits under the charger for intercooling...... all bolt on and doesnt make it sit much higher

changed the brakes on sunday got a hoppers stoppers kit with 330mm drilled and slotted rotors and PBR twin piston calipers had to do a few mods like make extra spacers and the hoses they supplied were to short but ya get that

Well long over due for an update.
The gearbox shat itself about 15mins into the first cruise session on the friday of powercruise last year and wasn't able to find another box in Perth that weekend, even with the help of mates and some people off here ringing every wrecker we could think of. It sat in the garage at home for a few weeks until my mate was ready to build the C4 I had lying around, which turned into a mission waiting for parts from USA.

When they finally arrived it all went back together with Stage 2 shift kit heavy duty bands and drum blah blah blah. I had already sourced a 3grand stall converter through SRM and dominator, SRM also supplied the adapter plate for the Lexus Bell housing. This turned out to have been drilled wrong which made the bell housing sit on the piss, but was re drilled and is all good now and the end result is it being a shit load better than the lexus box, more responsive and crisp gear changes.

Been a while since i checked this thread, nice improvements :)

With trhe same blower on mine i was getting about 14 psi as ive probably running a smaller pulley, 1st tune gave us ~390hp but not completely happy with it (mucking around with water/meth injection), didnt get any further because i smashed the clutch and gearbox (!) but i think now that E85 is around i will get some bigger injectors (im also running 450s, from an RX7) and just go with that and no intercooling or water meth, it should be well into the 400s hp

Just a small update, I purchased a 70mm pulley, fitted it and took it to get the tune touched up and ended up with 388.9hp and 907nm of torque.
