are there any off the shelf "universal" sump baffle kits going around?
either to bolt in, or weld into the sump?

the only aftermarket sump (so far) that ive found for a Boss motor is the Herrod item, and at $895, it's not cheap.
High Energy sumps don't do anything, and the american 4.6/5.4L gear is untested so would be an expensive exercise if wrong.

ive been told to go to Brad Stacey from LF, but i found out that he is so busy with work, it will be at least 6 months backlog of stuff to do.

to quote herrod website.

Capacity has been increased from the standard factory 5.5 litres to 6.5 litres with our exclusive tapered side capacity section. The tapered sides direct the oil to the centre of the floor area to ensure capacity collects around the oil pump pick up. This increased volume is combined with our Pro-Mesh removable windage tray to scavenge the most amount of oil from the crankshaft, reducing oil drag on the crankshaft to an absolute minimum.

Another way is to
Take out your sump
have a look at the design
draw the baffle plate up, laser cut and then weld them..
cheap and Problem Solved

really depends on motor i baught one for my vy ute recently to insure that i didnt get any oil starvation.

it uses hinge doors to stop the oil from rushing to one side of the pan away from the oil pickup.

cheers chris. ive got a CNC'c lathe. so ill just cut it using that... saves me time getting it laser cut / saving expense too :)
removing a falcon v8 sump involves dropping k-frame so it's a big job, so im doing it all at once (when i do oil pump, underdrives, cam gears, and such)

cheers tre-cool
i googled them, unfortunately it's all LS motor related, but they do offer the hinges

looking at the photos, i just need 4 walls, and the lid for mounting.
with the walls having flow holes only for the hinged sections,
and extra flow holes/ports in the lid.
