Chilli cook off

I am going to a chilli cook off tonight and I would prefer my chilli is the hottest.

My plan is to make Jamie Oliver's chilli con carne recipe here (http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/beef-recipes/chilli-con-carne) and add a bucket load more fresh chillis and minced chillis I have at home. I also will be adding a healthy amount of daves insanity sauce.

Anyone know where I can get some fuck off hot fresh chillis close to the cbd leedy, OP area and any other ideas to make sure mine is the winner?

Just a thought, add fresh grated ginger and it will smooth out the gut wrenching heat pains a bit, remember, judges want something with taste, not a oil stain remover. Just my thoughts. Best of luck in the comp mate. Post results?

Chillis provide the aftertaste heat.. you want to make pingpingpingpings cry you want an all-round "hot from the spoon" style mix up.

Dust your beef mince with chilli powder/hot taco mince packet and cook it off (beware of fumes) just to make every element hot as fuck.

colour has SFA to do with heat. Although i have some thai silk (purple, white yellow and red from the same plant) growing that will burn a hole in your daks just with a fart ...

If you were SOR I would invite you around to grab some straight off the bush - For heat use a red savina or habanero, although with a CCC I would recommend a purple cayenne. Nice smoky flavour, and if you leave the seeds in and fry it off with the onion and garlic at the start, it will give you a gaurenteed johnny cash special

True, for instant unpleasantness wasabi/horse radish is pretty useful. And it's easy to get hold of, chilli, the really unpleasant painful ones with spastic amounts of that chemical that causes the 'heat' from the chilli might not be so easily obtainable for him in time. Besides this is just about trying to help him hurt his mates right? Isn't the general rule you just want the smaller (when fully matured) chillis, and to focus mainly on the seeds as they contain the highest concentration of the chemical?

Went and got some, for those who want to get some if you are in a car take outram and go left onto mayfair and go past pony express. If you are walking the above directions are fine.

Also loaded up on chillis and spices. Should be fairly hot.

I think daves insanity sauce tastes great but it is fuck off hot.

Those who have mentioned tabasco and nandos sauce are not thinking in the right league.

Couple years back when I was doing some casual work during the GFC I was a landscaper / Handy man @ a huge retirement village in Nedlands. We had out own veggie garden in the workshop / house and used to grow heaps fo stuff ... one day we noticed these little orange chillies gorwing after we had planted some mixed chillie seeds ... we let them grow and pulled some off and tried them ... i hate hot food so i cut open a orange one and went to put it in my mouth and almost instantly my tounge was on FIRE ... i drank a litre of milk and mouth was on fire for about 2 hours ... my mate thinks he is king Dick with chillies was all like watch me eat this like it aint no thang ... BOOM same as me was howling and skulling milk like a new born cow ... there was a stupid chinese lady that was cleaner in the wards there and used to come and rape out plants before the veggies could grow fully ... one day we stopped her and asked if she liked chillies ... she said she always adds them to her salads as she loves loves loves hot food ... we told her the orange ones were mild but had nice taste ... gave her 3 and said chop up and put in your salad ... she never came back :)

Top two orange ones .... deadly.

Those chillis are native to the mexico, related to jalapeno's, he reckons and he cultivated them into his dirty indian food.

I cant stand chilli, Dad loves it, he had one of those above and said it was too hot. I've seen him eat 4 or 5 of those nasty small dried green pingpingpingping chillis "birds eyes" he calls them, without a wimper yet those things had him watering at the eyes.

I've got a chilli sauce called Ultra Death - made by Blair's I think - its made from Jalapeno's, Habanero's, some other random and the Bhut Jolokia (aka Ghost chilli). Needless to say its stupidly hot and can cause some serious pain - ask INSINR8R, he was crying like a little girl.

I grow my own Habaneros (orange and red), black pearls and thai birds eye. Gonna get myself a Bhut Jolokia plant or two for this summer. I have a dried one in the pantry but haven't had the balls to try it out yet. Apparently it's got more kick than a Habanero so it should be pretty exciting!

So it ended up being very hot, so hot infact I had my shirt over my nose and mouth whilst cooking it with a fan in the kitchen blowing the air out and one industrial fan at the front door blowing fresh air in.

As mentioned I used the receipe on the first page and added

5 habernero peppers as Ben showed above
5 red chillis
5 halepenos
a cup full of birds eye chillis
Probably some more (I did have the purple ones that joe told me to get but they weren't ripe yet)

In addition to

Chilli Powder
Chilli Flakes

1/4 BOTTLE of daves insanity sauce (suggested one drop per meal)
and a decent amount of these other extreme sauce I got from the guys mentioned above.

It was so hot the first time I tried it I was drooling uncontrolably and I nearly threw up.

We ended up eating a fair bit of it tho, my mate made a vindaloo with the ghost chilli as well that was also fuck off hot but tasted incredible.

This morning was tough times, with crazy dreams last night as well.
