I was down there. I'm so used to whoop ass Wednesdays and private track days and taking my sweet time to stage the car and stall it up..etc. I couldn't get the timing all right and I could never leave the line on boost so was doing pretty shit. A few of the times on the launch I just just touched the shifter and it clicked into second gear on the launch so they were average runs too :P

Some very nice cars there, not many AL members that I can think of (to be expected as most are jap on here) but Mumbo was down there and Dean in his VX? Calais.

dave took his chevy down again, did 1 qualifier, and then first round. had milky oil issues all day. turns out the engine that did 1 1/2 seasons in the lambo, including the fastest mph and ET the lambo has done, then motorvation last yr, holden ford last yr, and nostalgia this year is leaking water into cylinder 2 slightly.

first pass we ran a 9.03 @150mph . second pass spun the tyres hard off the line, but still ran a 9.20 @158mph, so probably would have got an 8 if it hadnt turned the tyres.

Was a good night for what i saw.

Shame about the HK that kissed the wall hard, smoking hard across the line (possible oil leak) running 10 flat then going to touch the brakes pulling hard into the left lane from the right and kinked the front hard. Car in other lane did well to steer around it.

Great to see a wider mix of cars than previous years too, particularly old school and more serious drag cars.

Yeah could really tell you were having timing issues off the line, car only came alive at 1/4 track. 60fts would have been awful.

lack of burnouts upon request, even in the staging lanes is very dissapointing!

that ute that crashed, he had something leak out around the 1000ft mark, which turned the car into a projectile. driver said head gasket which pressurised the radiator and split/blew rad line off...... but the car had rocker cover gasket issues all day... so not sure what actually happened, but apparently some awesome incar shots from the car that he was racing. also, running 10's with no cage....

generally, you fill out form, put in wether or not u have rollcage and protective gear and what not, they scrutineer your car, then give you your band. when you then run an 11.99, they are meant to check you have a super street liscence, harness etc. when you run a 10.99 they usually check that your car has been tech inspected to run 10's, and that u have all the protective equipment required to run 10's. my guess is that because he is a well known figure at the track, everyone just assumed it was all legit.

Adrian, best of 11.61 on the night (crap I know). Unfortunately I was doing something wrong on every single launch. Much easier on private track days during the day.

Brendan, in all honesty they didn't even look under the car to check it. They would have to jack the car up anyway cos its too low, but it just feels safer knowing its there just in case.

Esky I was wondering why some of the grass was wet, luckily our lane didn't get done.

My cousins two 11.07 passes in his XF. He was running very consistent all night, but broke out with an 11.00 in his first elimination round, spewing!

That Torry also nearly crossed the staging lanes on one of the runs as well, looks to be a bit of a handfull off the line.

Gf's dad was down there in his HJ ute, his first run was a 12.66 sec pass on the first time it was taken down the track since finishing building it then broke out running a 11.98 or something on the first quali.

The gto was a female driver and her first trip down the straight. Also has a weird grarbox selector thats actually quite difficult to find gears. Plus she doesnt drive the car super hard

Also seeing the 454 monaro coupe (red) dial in a 12.8 and during staging he gives a nitrous purge. Must've had enough, so decides to crank a low 11.
