My client electrifies the world by providing reliable, efficient products and services for the energy industry. They help businesses and authorities that generate, transmit or use electricity. They also provide specialised engineering services including repair and maintenance of heavy machinery for the petrochemical, hydro, mining and power industries, both domestically and within the Asia Pacific region.
With workshops in Perth, Sydney and Bunbury, they specialise in the maintenance of steam turbines, high-voltage generators, transformers and motors across the mining, rail and power industries.
Role Summary and Purpose:
Based in Bunbury, this newly created role will provide support and assistance to the Manager Shop Operations, to carry out the day-to-day activities involved in supervising a team of workshop, field employees and contractors who repair and service transformers.
It is expected that this position will spend a significant amount of their time in various field locations throughout Australia.
The Person:
You will have strong experience of working with transformers either in a workshop or field environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate, manage and develop people. We seek an individual who has proven ability to build and maintain relationships and drive a culture of safety, customer service and quality.
With strong Microsoft Office skills, you will have some experience in measuring, monitoring and preparing monthly reports for management and customers.
You must hold an Electrical trade qualification and ideally possess a Certificate IV in Frontline Management (or equivalent) is desirable.
