has had a new motor and gear box put in at some stage
Story goes i brought the car as a work shitter anyways the radiator blocked up and was running abit hot and the thermostat jammed shut and it heated up and blew head gasket between 2 and 3. no water in oil etc..put in new head gasket and retorqued head studs which was done by my mate whos a mechanic.
anyways went to start it and it wont seem to kick..it cranks but no splutter or anything. its getting spark, but looking down the carbie i can see theres no fuel been sprayed as you pump throttle so im guessing float bowls are dry. Tested the fuel pump which runs off the cam and that is definately pumping fuel hard.
the dizzy is in the right place as it can only go in one way..the sprocket for the timing gear was cable tied when it came off to make sure it couldnt move over a tooth while removing head. I just brought a hilux as i didnt have the time to fuck around with it. car drove well while i used it its not perfect by far but its not a complete shitbox either.. put new matts in and seat covers when i first brought it too
new leads
new rotor cap and button
new oil and filter
new head gasket
new EL twin thermos and S14 radiator which i was planning to install to make sure it never ran hot again
new thermostat
