View Full Version : Our jeep is fucked v49084097
so after a few K getting spend on fuck knows what, our 2 year old jeep has again decided to have a shit.
started off with it dropping back to second and refusing to go into third.
turning it off and on again (true IT spec) seems to fix the problem but now its getting ALOT worse, go to take off from the lights and its just revving out, occasionally throwing the trans temp light.
ideas? getting fucking sick of this thing

how olds the oil in the transmission?
had a full service by jeep last month when we had to get the water pump and altenator changed (niether of which was under warrenty) so the fluid should be ok.
piece of shit doesnt even kick LS
burn it
have been trying to convince her to do this for a while

I thought you only bought and drove Lada??
lada's are shit. they just got lucky with the niva :p
car has 80xxxk on the clock, transmission fluid is sweet.
would faulty solenoids cause this?
why on earth did you buy a jeep...
And how on earth is any of this or the other shit not covered by warranty? Id be towing it to the dealer, putting it somewhere in the way and telling them to sort their shit out

Make sure u have fully comp insurance, take it up the powerlines track and roll it several times to write it off.
The powerlines track is a gazetted road so ur insurance will cover you, the tracks proper name is some weird abo name with like a million n's, y's and g's

she had the jeep before we met, honestly the amount of shit thats gone wrong with it is stupid, both front speakers (twice), water pump, power steering, rear diff, list goes on and the thing has never been offroad..ever
it wouldnt even make it to the powerlines atm
with the warrenty i think it was only 2 years and its a bit over that. pretty sure it was around the 50k mark when she got it.. and its not alot of car for the money, bumpy ride, aircon is shit, stereo is shit, chews front tyres, pulls a different way every time you drive it, has always idled wierd.
dont buy a fucking jeep

Near a freeway? Some of the entry's onto the freeway have a steep hill between them and the actual freeway... easily a nice rolling spot. ;)
with the warrenty i think it was only 2 years and its a bit over that.
think you need to stop bitching & find out about the warranty.
according to redbook 'jeeps' as far back as 2003 (that ive checked) have a standard 3 year/100k warranty..
been through all the warrenty shit before, just couldnt remember the exact reason. turns out its actually over 3 years old..

OK heres what we can do.
step 1 - We can use my hilux to tow it to the powerlines track
step 2 - Set it up just before a really difficult downhill section
step 3 - Push it off to get it started
step 4 - Watch it smash into a million pieces
step 5 - Insurance pay out
step 6 - Buy a new car
FIXED!!
