Hey All,
Had the pleasure of shooting Bryan Chew's 07 STi last night.
Firstly, it was a killa shoot. Real easy car to light up.
And before anyone asks; Yes, Heli's were done. Video, will appear at some point (in-car & out)
anyways, here's a teaser. i'll keep processing and updating this thread though out the day/weekend.

LOVE that rear shot!

Very nice shots - lighting is great - were the flashes diffused at all?
Or does half power + distance soften them a lot?
Without a bounce I usually find my 580 a bit harsh.
I think I need to experiment more :)

For those of you that ever consider a Full Frame... this is exactly why you should get one.
ISO 1600... No noise reduction in PS!

Full frame - what is it and what does it refer to? Is there "not full frame" or "part frame" or something?

Thanks for the comments everyone. They're much appreciated.
N00b question alert:
Full frame - what is it and what does it refer to? Is there "not full frame" or "part frame" or something?
Hey Karl,
Im referring to the sensor size. Full frames are considered 35mm format camera and the majority of DSLR's on the market are APS-C format or better know as Crop sensors. Which means you have a lens factor of x1.6. More can be read here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/APS-C).
How does this effect noise?? A bigger sensor collects more photons which means a cleaner image over the smaller sensor which collects less light and tin effect creates noise.
There are plenty of explanations over the net, this was just the simplest way i can explain it.

Fak, my whole kit isn't even worth half of you body price :(
Sorry for the thread hack, but does full frame mean that when you have, say an 18-55 lens and you take a photo at 18 on the 5D MkII and then stick the same lens on my 400D, you'd get a difference in the wide-angle look?
As in, would it look much wider on the 5D? Or is the sensor set further away from the lens in the 5D?

For example purposes, we'll use the 18-55 lens.
On your 400D it would be really be 29mm on a 5D it would be 18mm.
I don't think the sensor is set further away as such, its just the Sensor on the 5D is much bigger.
Also, any ef-s lens (18-55) wont actually sit on a FF as the mirror hits the lens. (Mirror is larger due to sensor size)

Loving your photos Corbin! I am jealous of your abilities!
Karl here is a simple picture comparison of full frames vs different crops.
http://digital-photography-school.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/full-frame-crop-factor.jpg
Part of the reason I jumped to FF is due to the ability to take a wider image with the same lenses. I previously could not use my 50mm lens as often as I would like purely on the fact that I needed to stand quite far back from the subject matter. In situations such as dinner parties, it is not always convenient or possible.
Edit: Beaten miserably.
