http://i.imgur.com/jyJxm.jpg
DETAILS
- From about 8:30pm onwards
Eligible cars
> Some racing with Japanese GT500 cars 630PP* or less and Racing Soft tyres.
- If you don't have a GT500 car in your garage you can choose the Calsonic Nissan GT-R or Castrol Toyota Supra from the arcade list
> The rest of the racing with the usual one make stuff from the 'Recommended' arcade car list.
* You can de-tune your car for online racing by adjusting the Power 'slider' control if your car creeps over 630PP.
> Various Tracks (inc some random generated tracks)
> Driving aids allowed except skid recovery
Driving Standards
Some drivers are obviously faster than others but we're all racing for fun so boost is turned on to keep the pack together.
> Give each other racing room. No other pushing or ramming other cars off the tarmac.
> If you accidentally push or hit a competitor off the track, slow and let them re-pass you to address the situation (apologising via your headset will also help).
> If you deliberately push or hit a competitor off the track, immediately shut down GT5, turn off your PS3 and don't bother racing again.
> If you shortcut any track, shut down GT5, turn off your PS3 and sit in a dark room by yourself contemplating what a weak pingpingpingping you are.

CONNECTION ISSUES
If you have had problems racing online previously then I'd strongly suggest configuring your PS3 network and router settings. Even if you're connection is for the most part stable, it's still a good idea to apply these measures. They will improve network stability for all your PS3 online games.
Step 1 : Turn off/disable other devices using network bandwidth.
Running your torrent downloads on your PC in the background is not helping.
Step 2 : Set your PS3 to a static IP address using the following step-by-step guide (you may want to leave UPnP enabled though).
http://portforward.com/networking/staticip-ps3-playstation-3.htm
Step 3 : Configure your router to forward the appropriate ports to the PS3 static IP address.
- Select your router from the list on this page...
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm
- 'Click here to skip this advertisement...' in the top right hand corner of the screen.
- Select 'PlayStation Network' from the list
- Follow the on screen instructions to configure your router
Once you've applied the settings to your router perform an internet connection test from the PS3 Network Settings menu. If you've done everything correctly your Nat Type will be Type 2 - which is good. If you're getting 'Type 3' then go back and make sure you've configured your PS3 and router as per the guides.
OTHER FIXES
If you are still having issues you can Clear GT5's network cache.
Got to:
OPTIONS
scroll down to:
NETWORK
and select:
CLEAR SYSTEM CACHE

Overblown / corrupt cache is suspected to cause connection issues.
Would be good practice to clear it before racing online each week.

AL GT5 nights = srs business?
AL GT5 nights = srs business?
AL GT5 nights = no driving like an absolute pingpingpingping.
It'll be better for all involved.
Dont mind getting punted towards the end of the night, but its good to get some proper races out at the start

pingpingpingpings need to relax, if youre faster than someone you'll get past them without having to divebomb or bargepass!
We can do a couple 'free-for-all' races later in the evening with no penalties and no rules.
But these races will be nominated as 'free-for-alls' prior to the start of the race. That way everybody should be playing the same way and we won't have a situation where some are trying to do the right thing while others are driving like pingpingpingpings.
Does anybody have any good tracks made with the track editor they'd like to run?

Had fun in both lounges.. Got whooped on the Top Gear track, 1 minute of penalties in the first lap meant that I was best off just swinging nuts after that.
We had a few good races and skid sessions in my lounge too, and Owain followed me for a lap of drifting around Fuji Speedway
Will check in again next week if it's on. I got the boot from the room after Top Gear so just watched the footy instead.

Pretty certain it happened in the last 2-3 corners of the ring. Watching the video posted, it would of been just to the left of the camera/just behind you.
