hey guys, my iphone got into some evil hands (my cousins) and they decided it would be a great idea to remove my sim-card and then proceed to put the sim-card tray in the wrong way. needless to say, the tray half snapped off (bit of it is still in the phone) and trying to put the card in wont work, phone doesn;t recognise it. other than that, it works fine. the question being, is there a place in the city that would fix this problem for a competitive price? (it's a 3G first iteration) thanks!

try the apple store direct? Misses sister had her screen replaced there and i imagine it shouldnt void your warranty (if it is still under warranty).

Correct. The arcade opposite Myer and half way in on the East side. He does it.

sorry to hijack this thread a little, but if i can:

does anyone have huge problems trying to send MMS's off iphones through optus?

1/10 mms's will actually send and when they do, it takes fucking 3 hours for the person to recieve it

my Iphone 3gs has the same problem with optus. if im not in a 3g area then it wont send at all and within 3g it randomly sends and other times wont. no idea why.

similarly, is anyone having issues with uploading photos to facebook from the iphone app? it was since the last update that it just stopped working, says that it cant be uplaoded at this time and i can save it to try again later.

1 year. But seriously book it into the apple store - they fixed my screen for free.

Need to book into the genius bar though

When I got mine I got told 24 months... But I don't know seems abit long... Normaly they minimum 12months with most other handsets so Im guessing that would be a good bet.

better start a class action against optus then.

dont think iphone 4 has been out for a year yet so i should be inluck!
(got it first day)

do they take it then send it over east? or fix it right in the store?
cos i probably couldnt go without it for 2 weeks

does someone with the iphone 4 wanna do a quick test for me.

just press the home button probably about 3/4 the way down the button.
(just below the square on the button)

and see if the screen turns on?

Fix it on the spot. They have an entire basement full of parts.

it's 12, however you can extend it.. i have a 3 year extended warrnaty on mine as i'm prone to throwing it across the room.

can't really press it 3/4? it's either press or not press.
my boss had issues with the home button on his 4 though, they swapped it on the spot. just back it up first, as mentioned.
