so uhhh, when you said back to back, you didn't mention you have a dipshit for a truck driver, and he would take up about 12m of our bay!

yeh fuck knows what was wrong with that truck driver, give him a mud map of exactly where to park and he couldn't of dropped the container in a worse place ,
Spose we had a good weekend, winning the A final by default, its not the same winning something when no one is actually racing you ...... And even after the trophy presentations our pits were very quiet for a team that just won a final .
Couple of vids , first is the semi with the funny car going into the trap, and last is Paul almost fouling himself out of a solo win , you can see the car lurch as he is on the transbrake, at least he had two stage bulbs lit and presented for the win . Funny thing is the top light didn't go out, and what was strange was the start line guys telling the super street cars in front of us to back up and let paul through becuase they had a timing system error ? does that mean we were the test car for the tree that was being faulty all night ?

i was under the impression the guys in the tower had a sleep. in the semi final of street there was a double break out, with the win going to ethan hort with a 10.967, only to have it given back to roger moorhouse because you can't run a 10 in street. everyone but the tower realised this, which is why they stopped the race and asked for the racers to be pushed back until it could be sorted. apparently the drivers and the bracket official realised what happened and didnt bother running it past the tower, who had a nice big snooze on the whole issue.
and pretty sure you can't foul yourself out of a race where the opponent doesnt show, unless you cross the centre line, or run too quick. but then goran was fouled out on a solo pass and was not allowed to go through to the westerns final against us a few seasons ago... so who knows...

if you dont present both bulbs you foul yourself out im led to believe, paul nearly did that , he just lit up both bulbs and then transbrake shit itself with a flat battery over the line for a red light haha .
Phil thats some nice photos , i like the style you have used for those ones,
Is there any chance i could pay for some photos of my yellow banana at the finals coming , im looking for some launch photos and possibly some two step flamy stuff , send me a pm for details if possible .
Also tom i found a random vid my missus made when i red lit out of the first round at the westerns, its funny watching me red light and you throw your hands in the air in discuss , ill youtube it for ya

We had both cars eliminated in the first round. The 200b has some real traction problems with the 26" tyres and with only 2 qualifyers its hard to get any results adjusting the 4 link. The 1st qualifying just smoked the tyres giving a 1.75 60ft, 2nd qualifyer saw a 1.52 60ft which was better but still shit (we were getting 1.3's last season). The 1st eliminator was a 1.50 60ft and a red light so he just drove it hard and picked up a 9.40@ 148mph which is another track record so he was sorta happy. Hopefully next season we can sort the 4 link out a bit, fit some 28" tyres, wind another 10psi of boost in and have a go at oz mod although I dont think we can get down to the current 8.45 bb/om index. It would be a lot easier if we were down to the 2100lb with driver minimum instead of our current 2750lb.
With the sr20 dragster we had some boost fluctuations show up on the data logger on the last pass of the western nats and discovered a split hose to the wastegate. We fixed that but the boost was down on the 1st qualifyer running a 9.7 which meant that the hose had been leaking for some time. With only one more qualifyer I ony had one go at the boost controller and got a 9.2 which was closer to what it should have been. Left it alone for the 1st eliminator and he dialled in a 9.15 and ran 9.14 for the breakout. We are planning to change to turbo, inlet manifold and remove the intercooler for the final round. Should see an 8.

good stuff, you guys always present and give it a go, definitely not one of the teams to pack it up and go home when the going gets tough .
It would be awesome to see the dato in oz mod, i need someone else to be closer to me, im way off the index only 1.55 seconds haha , but to me im having more fun racing in the evening and with the other few similar import cars .
Im not going to win anything for quite a while so im resigned to being the super comp sacrificial lamb , i lose first rounds in super sedan its no different for me to lose in super comp .
heer is that vid tom, excuse the missus doing a dodgey film effort again

If you mean PC's run in the final? You can lose on a solo by leaving before the tree is activated... It will present the same lights as what was seen in PC's final pass... In this case, the starter pressed the button just as the car popped out of stage, and Paul was given the win... There have also been cases in the past where both drivers have left before the tree is activated, which is one of the few times you can have 2 losers in a drag race :)
As for the Street stuff, you may not know who was up there during the finals, but you do know her... :) (Have a chat to k8 about it when you get a chance)
beefcake: can't guarantee anything, but will definitely keep an eye out for you at the finals and see what I can do... :)

thanks heaps fil, yeh paul and i knew its possible to foul out if you jump before the tree has been armed by the starter, funny thing though i have noticed myself that the tree is not starting any where near as quick as it was in the start of the year, even paul commented that he was waiting longer for teh tree to drop,
Is that something that the starter controls, or do they have a auto start function when both lights are lit up ?
It would be a bit rough if you foul out becuase your up on the brake too long and the starter hasnt armed the tree .... bit rough i would say if it possibly could happen, not due to any one being at fault , but a elec fault

what happens if both racers cross the centreline? and what happens if you have to cross the centreline, say to avoid the car in front of you?

first to do the worst crime looses, you would be awarded the win after stewards discuss your "avoidance" matter. I guess
Got some rota pics that are top stuff , thought id share

There's no Autostart at Kwinana... Once the button is hit, the tree starts counting down... Sometimes there's a delay if the start line crew have a doubt over the ability of one of the cars to make it down the track (that's what causes the biggest delays)
