Wow,

Firstly, I'm quite impressed, both at the quantity of cars, and the quality. There were some really dope cars, everyone in general had a pretty good attitude.

Personal favourites;

180SX with the TE37SL's
Stickerbomed S15
Owains R33

I'm sure there were more, but those came to mind.

The backdrop was underutilised, but the fact we'd be occupying lots of bowsers etc meant we couldn't really use it.

My only real negative thoughts are;

DO NOT DO SKIDS

Time and fucking place, seriously, everyone who did a skid, left everyone who stayed behind at risk of the police. I had to diffuse a pretty irritated cop and had I not been lucky and managed to be diplomatic, at least 10-15 of us would of left with stickers.

The rolling shots got shut down prematurely due to this, and a LOT of people were left out.

It's shit like that tarnishes the car scene.

Besides that little gripe, I'm quite happy with how it went.

I quite liked that red evo with heaps of carbon bling on it...and the enkei rpf1's it rolled around on :D

And yes, as much as I like skids and stuff mmmyeahnah, as above by rufio!

We weren't exactly there to draw attention in a negative way, would've been sweet if we could have all hung around for longer, oh well another time perhaps, many cars turned up and many with 'sick fitment' - potential for more meets like this :)

Popo that rocked up were from the airport I believe.

He was behind me and I pulled up, turned off the car and jumped out, I went straight up to him and explained what was going on,

One of the first things he said to me was something along the lines of "You're pretty brave coming up to us like this"

I told him I felt it was more respectful then waiting in my car for him, I was responsible for the gathering etc, and the nature of it, and that basically I'd tried to prevent people being dicks, it was hard when the road we were shooting on was covered in skids. He was pretty pissed but I told him I'd disperse the cars and we'd go home, he was happy with that and let me to go around and get everyone out of there.

Sure enough as I leave from the petrol station after telling everyone to leave, someone does a skid, with the police pulling in.

Either way, I'd consider us all pretty lucky to drive home unscathed.

Great turn out, was well impressed with the quliaty of cars too.

Found the event to be pretty darn gnarly, with some awesome cars showing up and a big turnout! Congrats to Rufio and any others involved in the organisation because I guess nobody knew what to expect.

Have a couple of ideas on how to improve it (not a negative) so if you need some help, give me a shout!

Was good to catch up with some of the gang and also to meet some new cats. Rufio, well done on keeping everyone controlled. It was the hair I think... Way it blew around in the breeze was just like a balloon in the air, the word majestic comes to mind!

Unfortunately didn't get as many rolling shots as I would've liked but that was only because of lighting :(

I say we have the next one soon and this time with a BBQ :D

I was surprised comind down Grogan Road at the sight of that many cars. wasnt expecting such a big turn out.

enjoyed getting together on a sunday arvo for something a bit different.
pretty chilled out atmosphere. really reminded me of the hellaflush events.

supra failed, I blame it on to much awesomeness from the 2J. blew another intercooler pipe apart pulling out to go and do some rolling shots.
shoot was pretty much over by the time we (thanks for your help adrian) got it back together. drove home and oil drain off the turbo let go.
lots of fail, but still enjoyed taking it out and catching up with heaps of mates, meeting a few new faces and checking out some seriously phat wheel setups.
good to see more people are learing how to fit wheels as they were intended ;)

Massive turnout! I seriously need to replace my Bilstein coilovers for some KW v2's. The Bilsteins are already at minimum height settings and it is still 4WD spec. I actually don't want to put the "Praise the lowered" sticker on my car purely on the fact that I don't deserve it.

Got sick of fiberglass after i destroyed the front bar and got yellowed for it, don't like body kits to begin with, which is why i got a stock front bar on and after the yellow is off the rest of the car will follow. either way its not hard to fill in 3 little holes in a fiberglass bumper.

let me add to that, the reason i got pulled over in the first place was because the cops said they couldn't see my P plate cos of the tint and it was later in the evening etc, THEN they picked at the cable tied front bar and yellowd me.

so i did the right thing and put the p plate on the bumper and thats the best place i could find, had it gaffa taped to the taillight and it fell off over time, had a magnetic type one on the outside on the rear window and that came off after a couple weeks.

While I am rather flattered, having poke, being flush etc all achieve different looks.

I'm personally a fan of a bit of poke but not excessive amounts.
