RIP Marco, he was a definate charactor on and off track and had shown massive improvements this year. Was also funny to watch with the giant lanky body hunched down on a GP bike. Its safe to say had he continued the way he had been goin becoming world champion in the next couple of years would of not been out of the question.
He will be missed and this will hit hard the rest of the riders in all classes.
Will also be a definate downer for Stoner on what has been an amazing year for him, world champion, 1 of beating Doohans record of most poles and getting to have sex with his super hot missus (there is proof he does cos she is preggers). Instead this will be remembered as the year Lorenzo lost a finger and sadly Marco Sominchelli died in Sepang.

One comment that has been made a couple times is about Simoncellis hair, his fro was pretty big and that is alot of hair to stuff into a helmet. My hair isnt that long but between uncut and shaved head there was a noticeable diffrence in how my helmet felt. It could be due to having so much hair stuffed under the helmet it wasnt as tight or as snug fitting as it could of been.

This is what killed him
Most of these accidents when they lose the front tyre they would just slide straight as there is no grip... but this time the tyre gripped and if it didnt he would be alive....
Sad stuff.

He was unconscious from the moment the bikes hit him and never regained consciousness according to the Dorna Medical Doctor.

I think the thing that has hit me more and made it seem more real is you can actually see everything happen to Marco, where as Dam Wheldons crash just looked like any other nascar/indycar oval crash. You dont actually see the physical impact on Dan, you dont see him laying motionless on the track like you did with Simoncelli.

Yep that's the most unsettling parts about this. It's him sliding and the aerial view that make me feel ill.

I still can't believe he's gone. He was becoming one of the key ingredients in what makes MotoGP great and I think it's fair to say he was on the cusp of taking his first of many wins.
It's going to be a tremendously sad race meeting at Valencia.
It just doesn't seem right to think that he's not there any more. So sad.

I really can't imagine it will be a very competitive race in Spain...
Marco's team have already confirmed they won't be participating in the gp or moto2 as well. In an interview with his dad, he said knew his son was/going to be dead as he was being taken off the track...reports he regained consciousness seemed to be just rumours

My old man was at the race and the accident happened right in front of him, Marco was his favorite rider.
You can't tell so much from the footage but he said if he wasn't cleaned up by Rossi and Edwards he was heading straight for the armco and at the speed he was going he would have been lucky to survive that impact either, when they impacted he was still throttling on trying to hold the bike together.
Looked very much like he was killed instantly in the crash. Edwards ran up to try and help, stopped 10m away then didn't know what to do, was not a pretty sight.

Rossi came second in the Monza Rally, pretty top effort. Dovi was somwhere around 30th. Rossi even beat Seb Loeb on one of the stages.
Was some top rally drivers in the top 5 as well.
I am honestly quite surprised.
