Hey guys, just joined AL. Thought i would start off by throwing up some pics of my new ( OLD ) toy. Its a 1970 compliance Datsun 240z. I got it last Sunday, from a guy who has been restoring it for over 20 years. Its had some engine tweaks here and there ( head work with a mild cam and extractors ). The interior and body has had a b'day ( the body will need further work ), but otherwise its straight and runs well.
Let me know what you all think.

Soon i will be installing adjustable coil overs, zg guard flares and 17" wheel ( Symmons or Rotas ). later if all goes well, i want to install a RB25DET and skyline gearbox, maybe a 300zx diff...
This has been along time coming, and only made possible, because my kick ass boss ( RS_Gav ), bought me a company car. Thanks Gav ( not being a suck hole, just showing some appreciation ).

Personally i'd not do an RB conversion, L28 or something with triple carbs etc.

Jealous.
Was looking at putting my VL's drive line into one of these, been looking for ages for one in decent condition.
Looks like a good buy.
what's the cost of one of these in this type of condition, if you don't mind me asking?

+1 to this
If you want to sell your carbs/engine at any stage, let me know.
Or need any L series parts, i have 2 full engines here atm.
I have the single carb version of your engine in my car L24S vs your L24T (Twin Hitachi SU's)

if speed was the only concern should have bought an R33, missing the point!

Your car is such a credit to the previous owner. He has given you an awesome platform to start from.
