I won't lie, the WHOLE time there was talk about GT5, I just didn't quite feel excited about it.

GT games have always 'felt' very sterile, yeah they may be insanely accurate etc but they just don't feel right or like you're driving a car.

This looks like it's a lot more rewarding to play.

complete hit and miss. i was actually sitting there saying to myself, nah it can't be this bad, give it another try - especially when you compare it to gt5, they are worlds apart. there are a lot of awesome cars in this game, but to be honest i just can't be fucked wasting my time with the game to unlock them.

this, seriously is the last time ill be NFS.

Just got the game myself.... BIGGEST MISTAKE!

the game is shit, i'm playing it on my pc with g25, handling is just all over the place and very very crappy.
biggest waste of 6 gig

i played all of about 20mins last night - had to go out. Will try a bit more today.

I also found the handling of the cars all over the place but didn't look into settings for sensitivity - very sensitive - one little move and you're driving from one side of the straight to the other. Other than that I didn't find it too bad so far, damage is not bad (you can have visual or mechanical i think).

Tonight will be the 'verdict' night.

do you think its really that bad or do you just think the bar has been raised quite high by gt5. all of us smart enough to have a ps3 instead of an xbox probably wouldnt find a better driving game available, its as simple as nobody has had 7 years to build a game like poly took.

anyway, thread is about shift 2, but i feel the comparison had to be made after watching a mate try and play this, albeit on a computer.

I tried the game again tonight for a little bit (cut short by visitors), I'm actually not put off by it. It does have some cheesy cut scenes which you can't click through but I think many of you guys have been Put off by the handling - truth is out of the box the game is very sensitive. This can be changed and straight away theres actually better car behaviour, feels more like gt5 in terms of car feel. This is still with stock tyres etc too but sensitivity set to 10 or so and the steering wheel.

I'm not convinced I want to return it yet...

This is by far the shittest car sim game ever. Bought it 5hrs ago, spent about 2 hrs fiddling around with G27 settings it make it remotely possible to drive, gave up and threw disc at chair. I mean who has two different sensitivity settings for racing and drift when it is supposed to be a sim. You can't drift during a race or drift during a drift event. Rant end :)

Will return first thing Wednesday for full refund
