Picked it up last week, very clean and very smooth. My girlfriend and I decided it was time to get a bigger car with two extra doors, so her Barina got the flick and this took it's place.

Still gotta remove the towbar and the Number plate surrounds and yes, I do realise it has a fuckload of Chev badges.

Fairly decent upgrade from a Barina for her, they're okay cars, not my cuppa tea at all, I'd say if I didn't work on them though, I'd have one. Love that colour though, looks excellent after a good polish.

Pretty much all they ever need :cool: Probably not worth rooting around with final drive gearing as it is an auto although could be something to look at down the road.

Yeah pretty much, I doubt it'll see much time on the track or anything. It's a possibility though. Would love to do more shit to the monaro.

theres a guy selling some 6l80 stall converters on ls1, there is a 3500 circle'd stall for $800 which is a bargain. (same brand as mine) grab that if you can. :-)

Personally I would go the stall over a diff gear change.

When i first got my ve it had the 3.7s in it and the car sits around 2100rpm @ 100kph vs 1800rpm with the stock 2.92's.

The stall will help more from a stand still, just remember the 6 speed auto has a really high 1st gear and with the 3.7's it becomes practically useless. even the 3.46 ratio i run is almost as bad.

I don't trust factory autos so I'd try to avoid messing with one and adding any heat to it, which is why I suggested the diff gears. Cheap thrills and with that first gear being so aggressive it'll get out of the hole or smoke the tyres easy :D

the 6l80's are alot stronger than the shitty 4l60's though.

I'm yet to break mine still and i've tried.
