Old Magazines

I was sorting my old pile of magazines out last night, Ive been collecting since I was like 10 or something.

Anyways, for a laugh, I got out this Wheels magazine, from when the Camira won the 1985 Car Of The Year...Haaah. I couldn't help but read the article again, and throughout I was quite amused at how they could heap praise on such a heap of sh*t. I guess little did they know, how much of a lemon it would turn into down the track!. Im gonna try get my scanner working and post a couple of paragraphs, truly gold mid 80's journalism!

But it got me wondering, does anyone else collects mags, and if so, favourite issues / articles ???

The problem with new car reviews is that they are new. Problems havent had a chance to appear. They should review cars with 50k on the odo hahaha

Yeh I've been reading some 10 or so year old Wheels and Motor mags lately, it's funny reading about how they thought about cars then, and how they are seen now.

eg: 'Ford Probe, bound to be selling like hotcakes!' or something similar, and it sold ****!


reading the upcoming stuff is interesting too, you see some stuff that happened as it said in the mag, and some stuff that failed miserably or didn't happen at all.

remember those old hot 4s mags, they were so retro looking, guys with mullets and vanilla ice flat tops
