hey guys , iv seen in a few pics before that people use an orange coloured , heat sleeve or wrap to put over there rubber pipes in the engine bay mainly the oil drain pipe , does anyone know where i can get some of this stuff or anyone have some laying around?

can it be hard up on the manifold without melting?

nah defiantly not, better off getting a hard pipe made up out of stainless tube if your going to be that close to a manifold

its not manifold/dump contact resistant, only flame resistant

it will eventually burn a hole through it if its in contact

used on nearly every engine line in aviation, i have bulk of that stuff lying around, new and s/hand.

what diameter/length do you want?

can it be hard up on the manifold without melting?

melting point in the book says its 204 Deg Celsius. maybe not that great for hard up against manifolds but it can last for a while in hot area's

the stuffs called "titeflex" btw

Ive used it in burnout comps for places (mainly leads) in direct contact with exh parts, i found you would get a good 4-5mins before the sleave had burnt through..

Couplers malaga also stock it.
