Having similar issues with service and coverage like everyone else ... reccently smashed my phone in a fit of rage and tried to go through the correct channels to have it repaired on isurance

Story so far ...

I spent all day yesterday on the phoen abusing them - i broke my phone on the weekend and want a replacement ... is going to cost me 250 bucks and take 4 weeks !!

told them i want to speak to supervisor

put me back on hold then said there is no one available to talk and they will ring me back

I said mate if no one rings me back within the hour i will go to the Ombudsman

get a text 45 mins later _ Due to technical difficulties we are unable to contact you today will try to contact you on the 12th

I went straight to the Ombudsman and lodged my complaint.

Went the 14 days and still no contact from Voda - relodged complain with TIO

next day get a call from Vodafone Resolution Centre.

This lady, her name was Lolly, was hands down the most helpful person i have come across ... went over my story with her ... she said she would referr me to the Insurance company and get it fixed and then wipe the cost of the replacement handset i was happy she sent me a text with the details and her number to contact if i have any dramas ... thought it was all settled

Rang Marsh ( insurance ) an started the process to get the phone replaced - the guy was aussie so easier to deal with ... went through it all with him he gave me a claim number and told me i need to go into a shop and send it away for assesment this may take up to two weeks and then if i need areplacement then another 3 weeks ...

fuck all that noise - i jumped on ebay and bought a replacement glass back for 30 bucks and will fix it myself

I sent her an email today letting her know this si what i would be doing as i cant go without a phone for 4-5 weeks

get a phone call like 10 mins later she was actually concerned !!

said she would WIPE 12 months off my contract so that in August this year i can go for another Free upgrade AND has credited my entire bill for this month !!!

The Indian Call centre - ABUSE THEM

The Vodafone Resolution Team - Be polite to them and they will give you ANYTHING !!! You can imagine the amount of abuse they are copping so to have someone be nice to them was a welcome change and she was super nice in return !!!

:D

Missus got called from Vodaphone today on the last day possible for the TIO complaint. Didn't get through because it went straight to message bank, left a message to call back. Called back and was on hold for a hour and then hung up on!

FAIL!!!

I'm getting her just to ring the TIO back and just lodge another complaint :)

Ben, you just stooged into another 3 years with the company that fails hard... Not a win haha

Read properly with you smiling squinty eyes !!

I have an option to upgrade for free in Augsut ... basically wiped 12 months off my contract dude

Marbles - to be honest the coverage isnt bad in my area ... and has gotten considerably better in the past month - used to have no service in my bedroom - now its full ... i jumped on the bandwagon to try and get a replacement phone ... worked out in my favour anyway.

other than a few handset issues and a shit call center i havent really had much to complain about with Vodafone as a company !

is it network issues or is your missus phone just fucked ?

Good win for you im not with vodaphone myself but any time i need to talk to telstra i just keep asking for a superior and they end up giving you an Ausie in the end . Once i got lucky and an Aussie answered the phone straight away, I neally fell outta my chair.

lucky you.

Vodafone agree to my TIO claim to cancel my contract and allow me to keep my handset or so i was told however receive a letter today informing me that i would have to return my handset before they will cancel everything....

so another claim with TIO has been filled in

i agree ben, once i made a complaint and got given the mobile number of an aussie chick in their resolution centre, she was FANTASTIC to deal with.

she said they knew reception was bad in the areas i mentioned, and despite them upgrading soon, said if i wanted to leave she would let me.
