Antilag GT5 Online Racing (Thursday 3rd Feb)

- From about 8:30pm onwards
- One make/model or type racing
- Various Tracks
- Driving aids allowed except skid recovery
- Damage set to light (cars get damaged but repair themselves after a short while)
- Boost set to strong (may be revised depending on race quality)
- Penalties set to low (may be revised depending on race quality)

To join add my PSN id: MGR

- Once I confirm your request you should now be able to see MGR in the community tab.
- Click MGR in the community tab. Once I'm online there should be an orange icon just above the lounge icon.
- Click the orange icon to join my current active game.

Accidents can happen, and we're all varying levels of driver skill but if you're inclined to deliberately push other cars off the tarmac (through corners, 'pit' manoeuvres down the straight, neglect to use the brake etc) then fuck off. You're not welcome.

Below is a video of a race I had the other night with some guys all running the Lotus 111R RM. No boost enabled in this race. The only thing keeping the cars together was the slight slipstream effect (I say slight because it is nowhere near as strong compared with to the boost setting turned on high) and the fact nobody punted anybody off.

hahah yeah it was just light hearted fun. wasnt sure what you'd think of the style of play, me and the other two were all at the pub beforehand and decided to do battle on the track, just bumpercar stuff.


and MGR those lotus guys you were with, i jumped in that room because i saw you in there and only got one race with you, but i have been playing with those guys since, fuck its challenging, pretty fun aswell. i was useless untill one of the guys read out his tune so we could all copy it.

do you have boungboy on PSN? if so i'll message it to you. theres a couple of tunes getting around, this guys tune is for TC off, where as i was using one i made tuning with TC on 1, big difference...

That Lotus race was the my first run against those guys. I stumbled into their room and was told I needed a Lotus 111R RM so I jumped out, bought one and applied all the mods. Only seemed to have 309hp but i think the engines break in a little after a while to give you a bit more HP.

My setup was just default though. I went OK on some tracks and won at places like Monaco but I couldn't keep up at some places like Deep Forest. I'll have to spend a time to tweak my settings to give me a little more pace. I saw TJ jump in the room earlier too but obviously didn't own a 111R and left. The host was regularly booting people out that didn't have a Lotus 111R.


Maybe we should pick a 'car-of-the-week' where everybody buys a pre-determined car from the Premium Car list. Leave mods free (because it's too hard to police) and run a few races with the same car.

Love that idea, with a controlled tyre and no aids so it wont be the most powerful cars that win.

Or I have seen you can add power limits into the games so maybe we could add them or to make it even more interesting each week pick a drive and power limit so one week FR and a max of 550hp then the following week FF max of 300hp etc.

I fill my garage with cars that will probably be only used online, also often buy say stage 1, 2 and 3 turbos, so I can swap between them to stay just under whatever the room power limit is, lots of fun when theres is a ton of different cars, but all similar performance.

The night/wet race at the 'Ring was great, the race softs were pretty decent, but if you get a little sideways it's pretty hard to recover, other times I've raced on the full wet tyre the slides are a little more progressive, easier to drive...but they don't last.
