I'm not sure why, but it appears my clutch has given up. Slipping hard! Vehicle is a JZX90 MarkII with 1JZ-GTE.
Im after a cheap (rims are more important), good quality clutch for street driving, but can handle some abuse.
I have had two bad experiences with Xtreeme so i will be steering clear from them. Exedy seem popular, have PM'd g2s and hopefully being a site sponsor will get some kind of discount. Opinions on them?
Jumped on eBay, and came across a company called ACT Performance. Anyone had experience with them?
Can anybody recommend any other clutches from the US?
xoxo
Jared
Had bad experience with Xtreme in my S15, went to Exedy and had no problems. Exedy should be good for your Chaser. How much do you want to spend? PM monga on here.

FFFFUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!! MARK II pingpingpingping!
The less, the better haha, about to drop coin on rims. I would say a new flywheel will be required as well.

I bought a HD Exedy last year for around $800 or so delivered sans flywheel. So far seems like a pretty decent bit of kit, I'd personally fork out a bit more next time and get a lighter flywheel.
I'd look at the US at the moment for clutches, the dollar is strong and plenty of shit to choose from. I saw a ORC single plate for $400 second hand there!

Also, I refuse to deal with pulling out another R154, so don't ask me for help.

I had one in my sil80, wasnt really an issue (granted i never drove the car haha). Most available on ebay and yahoojp seem to be 1100kgf/m. Is this roughly the same as a 2500lb?

i had xtd US ebay clutch in my 2jzgte jzx90 .. still in there after 10,000 plus kms , never missed a beat , and about $400 landed
Im using an NPC Billet Twin in the Supra. leaves jap clutches for dead when you compare them side by side. overkill for what you want, but the build quality is awesome, the twin feels like a heavy duty single plate to drive with and they do make single plates.

got mine through Aaron from Intune, I believe he is a dealer for NPC. Give him a call and see what he recommends for your application.

I'm using an Ace clutch ATM (http://www.aceclutch.com.au/) its very streetable but a bit exxy compared to others.
Jim Berry (http://www.motorsportworld.com.au/outlets/raceclutch/) is meant to be very good also and worth a look.
Yeah ring intune, tell them your from antilag, should get you a great deal!
Had an exedy in my Cressida with fundamentally the same setup as yours, saw tons of abuse.. and I mean tons, lived fine at ~290 rwhp

How does the Exedy feel ??

Previous one had a small explosion it appears, and there was a shitload of melted clutch plate face stuck under the pressure plate.
Previous clutch installer (when car was complied apparently) didnt machine the flywheel, or lube/grease up all the parts :S . Feels good so far. Exact same clutch that came out of it, but feels very different. Quite a bit heavier and grips nicely. Prob wont last too long if i give it a beating though.

Also got a clutch made and installed from Scott last week.
Would definately recommend him to anyone.
Was happy to have a chat and let me know when he found a few dodgy things from the previous install (rewelded pivot ball)
Also very good price i thought.

Wow Didn't know Scott was that popular
When he took off my gearbox off, he spotted my gearbox mount being Jelly and refuse to fit it until i get new one from nissan and he also checked my tail shaft. Great blokle to talk to and no dodge once so ever
He has passion for cars.. say NO to ebay clutch
I'm clearly the only one who's had a bad experience there, but that was years ago and can't remember owners name

I dealt with Ross at auto clutch years ago. He built an awesome clutch for my skyline and it never missed a beat. I spoke with Scott about 8 weeks ago about building a new clutch for one of my cars. He's clued up that's for sure. Was very impressed.

Ah Ross rings a bell, so take it he's no longer there than?
