HALP?!

I am just polishing my bay, accidentally brushed the side of the boost controller (accidentally the whole thing) and heard a few clicks, any chance these boys will be attaching a boost reader and could adjust my boost on the day? Happy to pay !

outline of my retardedness:
its a turbosmart dual stage boost controller, red, low boost (L) is wound down to zero since it cannot go lower than 17psi due to the wastegate spring. high boost was set to 20psi (this is the one i bumped FML). i tried to wind it back to where i "thought" it was. then i tried counting it down one click at a time, it went down 25 clicks to the bottom but then its really hard to turn but you can sort of make it click more... could i possibly have bumped it up 5psi? or is it just a big coincidence?

either way, provided they have a boost line reading onto the dyno, i will wind it to 20 clicks, and get them to run it, and then adjust it for my 2nd run in the worst case scenario... can there be a better scenario organised by any chance?

actually worst case i can just run it on low boost, its ~40hp less on 17 than i made on 20, but i'm not ripping impressive power just coming down to show off my screamer really, and 20psi sounds way better than 17.

kind of difficult, but will have a go. Michrotech 16s should have "boost cut" built in anyway.

Could you plug your laptop in and make sure the boost cut is where you want it?
Should be easy to do on the road, just make sure you load it up in 3rd or 4th.

takes two mins to plug/unplug the line from the back of the plenum, they arent running a boost line at all? so no readout of hp @ psi? so i'm guess its just going to be in shootout mode or whatever where its just however much you move the rollers?

also RE check with my lappy it is broken, and i dont have the cable anyway.

fek it if its all too hard i'll just run it on 17, bit hard to test it loading it up on public roads is all. i'll do my best either way.

Have fun today ladies... Wish I could be there, should be good!

Someone should make a list of what power everyone makes and put a leader board here :-)

yes, it only takes a few minutes,

We don't have enough time still.

Mitch will get off the gas if it starts to rattle or is too lean.

we are raffling off a lot of prizes!

should be a good day!

see you all there.

Such a good day. Massive congratulations have to go out to all those who organised and helped out to make it go as smooth as it did. Sure drew a lot of people out of the woodwork too.

I hung around till I heard Sonic in person and then bailed, had been up since 2:30 yesterday arvo and worked all night.

Cheers again, great event.

As already mentioned.

Big thx to Tristan, without the effort that he has put in it wouldn't have been what it was.

Sonic run: fucking lol. 50-60 ppl rush in the workshop to get a look. 30 secs later they are all piling out with meth eyes. 3 mins later all pile back in to watch again. 30 secs later meth eyes again

Two massive thanks:

- Tristan.. Although many of us pulled together to make the day run as good as it did, Tristan made the event.

- WA Perf.. amazing effort guys, I cannot thank you enough!

I had to bail at 3pm for other work commitments, spewing I didn't get to see the Patrol or Sonic's 1100HP run :( I did get to experience his first two eye watering runs though, the thing is off the f*ckin chain!!

thank you to all that attended.

Live updates was not achievable due to band width and needing a dedicated person to do it all day....mostly the first 1.

was the best dyno day i have been to, Mitch and Deb know how to put on a show.

There is a dedicated thread that will be used to post photos and the dyno graphs of the day.
