Just received my replacement Hypertune plenum (last one had cracking issues). Unfortunatley it is in a smooth but raw finish.
Any recommendations for aluminium polishing - plenum only?
Alternativey any downside to getting it ceramic coated?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Ian
ceramic coating is a good option, only down side I can see is if this one cracks it may make it harder to reweld it? being on the cool side of the motor it should hold it's colour fine (my rb20 lower inlet plenum runners were ceramichromed and were perfect after a few months of abuse)
I found it alot easier to clean than polished aluminium parts too
