My mate has wrecked his Hilux.

2003, 4x4 Dual Cab, V6 Petrol.

Hit a bollard on the front left hand side, still runs and drives, but steering (and possibly suspension) needs attention in the front. Cosmetic damage obviously as well (lights, fender, minor panel work)... suspension tower is not bent, chassis is ok (but will be checked over to make sure).

Anyway, he is yet to be contacted by insurance to see what buy back is, but is unsure of the vehicle value/parts value. Anyone out there know off hand? I haven't dealt with parts second hand myself yet, nor know anything much to do with Hilux...

Interior is clean and tidy, has that sports bar, side steps, Sunnies on it...

Going by what used Hilux's normally sell for, I'd say $60-70k for this one.

Wow with figures like that you would expect people to be buying them up and stripping them. :p

pretty much think up a cash number that you think you would be happy to get then add 45% to this, its called the toyota tax and is added to any aftermarket or 2nd hand commercial/4wd toyota parts.
