View Full Version : hook ups for SD cards
chasing 16GB SDHC cards min class 4 to use with go pros. there will be a bunch of AL guys also chasing them for the Go Pros we ordered recently. Ringing around now and its doing my head in. Prices vary as much as $100 for sandisk. cheapest shop is nearly double online prices. Anyone have hooks up for these cards at reasonable prices.
Cheers

+1 for ebay. Picked up 3x Extreme III 16GB SD cards for $100 each. Was a while ago though. Probably cheaper now.

just put state:wa at the end of your search... ie
16gb sdhc state:wa
and will give you all local shops, if you dont care about WA, dont put it in :)

I have a class 10 silicon power 32bg sdhc card. Payed around $200 for it, only to have it lose 2000 photos from my European car trip.

ouch. :(
i've had a couple of memory cards fail on me too, fortunately i'd copied everything off them.
this is why i have 6x 8gb CF cards now (i have a 16gb also, but i dont use it), losing 8gb instead of 16/32gb if a card fails isnt so much of a wrist-cutting moment.

surely that cant be legit. so hard to tell whats dodgey and what isnt. simply change the sticker and packet and class 4 becomes class 10. hmmm

I don't feel so bad paying a bit extra for a known brand from an Aussie seller now.
Yet to fail *touch wood*

Id be surprised if they weren't legit. Otherwise they sell other brands, Patriot, Toshiba and a few others.
