Terrastone? Not cheap but looks sensational. Given the price and maintenance of paving I've wondered how much more it would be to do something like this.. Keen to see what prices people get!

Im getting this done in June when my house is built for drive and alfresco. You got really good prices. The prices i have is $99 for exposed and $130 for honed.

$90m2 for exposed is not that much more expensive than regular paving.
Have you gewgled yet? I did a quick search and at least 7 places in Perth popped up on the first page.

I feel sorry for the people that do the honing, did my old boss's 500sq meter driveway on a slope... Took two of us a whole week of 11 hr days to get it finished

You need to compare apples with apples when comparing.
i.e. is mesh included?
concrete strength
thickness
Which sealant are they going to use.
For a driveway I would go with 100mm, 25mpa, and no mesh.
I recently did mine in a black concrete and bearing in mind we buy a shitload of concrete each year the mix was $380 / m3. 20/20 grey is around $170.

100mm thickness eh? Some people don't even do 100mm thick slabs on their houses.

I got my driveway etc done in 100mm enforced exposed aggregate - looks the shit for $75m2 cash for the mix i wanted (semi mates rates but he's not looking to rip you off). Old bloke who does it has been in the game for ages.
Also got it acid washed and 3 coats of seal (about 1k for 65m2 - it glitters!)

Polished can be dangerous, especially if wet. You'll go arse up if the polishing is done like a glass finish.
I had my driveway and rear patio/pool area done, cost around $290/M3 for BGC exposed aggregate. Had F52 mesh installed, 100mm thick all the way with the edges turned down to around 150mm for added strengh. All up for 75 sqm cost around $7000 including concrete, mesh, reo and labour to wash the concrete and seal it. Looks fantastic and is worth the coin.
Budget for $100-$120sqm to supply and lay, make sure they use mesh chairs so the mesh doesn't sit at the bottom of the concrete.

This is what I'll be using in my house for the kitchen/living area.. no slipperier than tiles, cheaper than hard wood and shits all over it for longevity.
Looks fucking pro too.

If it's driveway, you need 100mm thich & Stainless Mesh as reinforcement or you'll run into problems after a year or 3.
If $90 includes the above, you're doing well :D
Call Urbano Unique Stone & speak to Joe. He's a bit of a clown, but does top work!

hey does anybody have any hookups to NORMAL concrete pathways etc?
ive got a 1m x 12m section that needs to be done, side of shed, rarely used, just better than slabs.
and a 3x3 section needed for under a pizza oven, that weighs a good 300kg.

Just kicked out the fukwit who owns Perth Decorative Liquid Limestone at my house today. Worst job ever, and he wanted top dollar.
Luckily I only got him to lay the grey slabs I needed at the portico first..
Beware.

Yep i am after the same. Small driveway cross over. Probably only 2x4 roughly just in normal concrete. Joondalup/Nor

Does anyone know if the concrete on the slab of the house can be polished if it was never layed with the intention of being polished?
Have some area inside my house that i would like to fuck off the flooring and was wondering if i just need to remove it and get the slab polished.

Biggest concern would be your drop-offs, eg: any other flooring that meets with the polished concrete.maybe a 5-10mm lip, and will forever trip you up on midnight fridge raids.
May be a way of possibly using a slurry mix to fill and cover house pad, and polish that? Plus you could add flash shit like glass or cool speckily stuff.
Will ask the old man during the week (concreter 20+ years)

yes. my broke ass mate just polished his slab in his kitchen and living/dining area, looks mint.

can look mint, can look patchy as fuck. all depends on where the stones have ended up during the pouring of the slab.

It can be polished no dramas but chances are it wont be a sexy mix with cool stones in it.
Also it is rather dear to polish it. If you are going to get someone else to do it expect to pay circa $100 / m2 just to polish and seal it.

anybody know the best stuff to clean aggregate driveways without stripping the laquer on it ?
got some stains (love, brake dust, bore water, general grime) that are proving difficult even with a Karcher high pressure water blaster

Make sure they put mesh down before the pour. Trust me concrete moves and separates at the joints and the mesh will stop that.

thread dig:
in the process of getting our patio and the piece between the carport and shed done in exposed aggregate, just under 100sqm in total.
since posting the above, my cousin went out on his own doing concreting so naturally we got him to do it, also worked out alot cheaper than the 3 or 4 quotes i got from other places.
if anyone is interested in his number, PM and i'll pass on the details
