How many golfers we got on AL?

Have played on and off for a few years, but nothing too serious. Tried starting a regular Saturday morning play date with mates, but there's always one missing or someone drank to hard the night before and it always fizzled out to nothing.

Keen to get back into it on a regular basis.

I would say its a gentlemans sport... you make nothing of a gentleman, more so a teenager stuck in an old mans body. Just going on this i would say its not suited for you. But seeing as your best efforts are doubling par and vandalising a golf course, I would stick to something where you couldn't hurt yourself or others... Maybe play in a straitjacket?

keen as with the golf game, played shitloads years ago with workmates, every weekend for three years straight almost , still shit but i got the best gear haha , i think if you spend more it feels better when you fuck up .
There is a few other closet AL golfers out there that i know of, played a few rounds with them so im sure something could get slapped together

I have a handicap of around 18 , been playing for years where ever I can , up until a few months ago there was no grass in Kal but now fully grassed 18 hole course I played 3 sundays in a row.

If your up for a cruise and a game head to Ledge point , only fully reticulated course outside of Perth , granted only 9 holes but beautiful spot and a nice casual drive up and back in a day.

Pretty keen golfer. Played Joondalup last week and the course was immaculate.

Those who think golf is gay obviously aren't good at it, it gets better once the scores drop.

Played once last Summer.. Was with some mates who play quite often so I was holding things up a bit, only played 3 holes then just drank beers and drove the cart while they finished up the 9. Still awesome fun.

I thought I'd have a crack at getting onto a "Happy [Gilmore]", chunked a piece of grass, re-assessed, halved the gap between the chunk and ball and chunked again, but on the 3rd try I got onto it and it was beeeeeeeeee-aaaaaa-uuuuuuutiful! Straight and long, just how Corbs likes it!

Sorry prob should have elaborated a bit more , outside of a large community/town , I assume Gero may be reticualted aswell and Kal now is to.
Ledge Point only has population of 4-600 , there kinda proud of the golf course there and it looks mint !

Gav, there's a little par 3 course in CanningVale behind the Swan Brewery, we should go play there on a Wednesday afternoon before Basketball...
Nice relaxing little course.

Also keen for a round with a few groups.
Collier is a nice easy hack course.
Burswood isn't bad as long as the wind isn't too strong.
Whaleback if you want to rock up in shorts and a shirt and just smack the crap out of a ball...

My set of clubs is way to good for me, but fuck they are shiny and nice looking (its not about how good you play but how you look out there)

Keen to make the time for it again, Saturdays are out for me though due to work :(

I live 50m from Embleton Golf Course ... i go there every 2nd Sunday or so depending on Hangover ... its a nice little 9 hole course and all par 3's and 4's

think its about 12 bucks on a Sunday arvo and there is never anyone there ... which is good cos i curse like a mother fucker :)

Rockingham and marri park are good courses. Marri park are lenient as fuck with bringing your own piss. Kwinana is a good course bit hard for beginners though I found. I play it more for a social/drinking day out that anything.

Got round 18 at Wembley in 107 about a week ago. First time out in about 8 months.

Im not very good but I love playin. Find it hard to set aside the time for regular rounds tho.

Yeah it's all done pretty much. Old clubhouse/bar is still there, but new proshop and range are up and running and the courses are pretty much back together properly.

They've done quite a lot of work on the soil so that its not as prone to water logging....other than that its stayed the same. Decent course... getting to the range is a pile of shit though.

Yeah the coaching bays have cameras in them which captures your swing characteristics (plane, club head speed .etc) and then can be put into software and angles .etc overlayed to show you where it's going wrong.

Its a little old, but works well and looks pretty good. Free to a good home if someone is going to use it!

PS: We plan on making this a fortnightly thing. We have a team of four already but if we can get another 4 there is no reason we can't run a mad team of 8 or even 12. which also brings the cost down.

I'd say the next game would be 22/23rd of this month. Also we tee'd of at 10 first 9 it wasn't too hot, but the back 9 we were getting a little lazy. So I'd be trying to book an earlier game.

Depending on where we go be prepared to pay between $40-60 for 18 Holes. That includes a motorized buggy.

Let me know who's actually keen for either of these dates.

yeah ive been over to melbs a few times and plyed some courses over there..

i know that there is a public course at albert park which is right in the heart of melbourne.

otherwise, if u want some of the best golf courses in australia, head out to the south-eastern suburbs - its known as "the sandbelt", and all the coures ther have hosted national championships, eg victoria, royal melbourne, kingston heath, yarra yarra, commonwealth.. the list goes on. there are so many good courses, but u have to know someone who can get u on.

sea-view golf club (most people think its cottesloe, cos its right next to cottesloe beach) is a personal favourite of mine. most people also dont know that it is both private and public, so anyone can play at off-peak times as long as you book, and the cost is about the same as any other public course.

it also has the bonus of some the best views in perth when the sun is out, and the scenery can be nice too ;) .. and you can sneak down to the cott after the game :)

yeah ive been over to melbs a few times and plyed some courses over there..

i know that there is a public course at albert park which is right in the heart of melbourne.

otherwise, if u want some of the best golf courses in australia, head out to the south-eastern suburbs - its known as "the sandbelt", and all the coures ther have hosted national championships, eg victoria, royal melbourne, kingston heath, yarra yarra, commonwealth.. the list goes on. there are so many good courses, but u have to know someone who can get u on.

Thanks mate.. I heard there is course where the F1's are.. Is that Albert Park? Not sure if we have the hook ups to score a private park entrance, but not too keen to travel far anyway, I'm there for a couple of days and would like to remain near the CBD if I could as some family etc are heading over as well.

I play there once a year in an annual golf day with family and friends. 27holes, big lunch and drinking piss all day.

One of the hardest courses when that sea breeze comes in, and yes... the scenery can be rather nice!
