Second that or Tim @ Sik EM. Both are involved in some big motor builds.

Hopefully nobody minds me hi-jacking this thread instead of starting a new one....But it's a similar situation for me, and it's now time to get this sorted as I don't want a massive whale of a backyard ornament sitting around for too much longer.

I'm trying to sell the RB30 bottom end I bought because I decided it would just be a whole lot easier to keep a 25, but as I'm having a lot of trouble selling it I might just have to use it. But the same thing goes for if it does sell in the next couple of weeks, I'd just get my 25 rebuilt.

Is there any other suggestions for workshops in Perth to do a build?? I'd like to get a few different opinions but basically, I just don't want an engine sitting there doing nothing for months before they slowly start on it. I'm happy to pay for the work as long as I know it will get done, I don't want to fuck anyone around & I'd expect the same thing returned :) Post or pm any suggestions/details & it will be appreciated!

Cheers, Nathan

Noztec in welshpool

Tonys a good guy and has built some very tough motors for a variety of cars,

Be warned though, if you go there expect to get grabbed by the ear and shown the 400ci meth fed fiat and the ttv6 maserati with a pd blower thrown on it for fun

i have galloway engines in pinjarra doing the sleeving work on 1 of my ls2 blocks at the moment.

not many people have the knowledge or equipment to do it in australia and these guys have top of the line equipment required to do it, just outside of mandurah.

go figure.

XSpeed is on my to visit lists, but I've also heard of a couple of people who haven't had their engines looked at in the months they have been sitting there...could be reasons behind that or could be BS, but time will tell! Thanks for the suggestions guys, keep them coming!

Harris Engines did great machining work on my stroker, including a torque-plate (sunnen) hone.

anybody that would have experience with the MAZDA BPT motor, not many places would i assume. However, if this is the same Joshg123 i am thinking of from the laser forums then perhaps he could be the go

I didnt want to be rude but I rekon Harris would do the machine work required for an RB26 rebuild in 2 days.

Harris turned around my machining + balancing in a week and did a great job.

Always heard good things about Harris.

Ierace in stabbington are awesome builders, but I can't remember who they farm out the machine work to. They built the Cleveland in my mate's F-100 and it's tough as nails, and they have another mate's Cleveland at the moment that they've done a LOT of troubleshooting with (long story, motor came from the USA and didn't have a lot of gear that was meant to be in it) and now have it running sweetly
