entry level slr

hey guys, ive been looking into getting a digital slr camera.

just a bit of a hobby i would like to start, so need something within a very small budget, but still would like a quality camera.

been looking at either a nikon d3000, or the canon EOS 450D.
is there any others worth a look?

budget is around 1k

550d can be had in a single lens kit under $1k grey import. can also do HD video.

450 is olddddd

Ive got a basically new 400d with kit lens hardly any use at all would doubt its even taken 1000 pics

If you are interested let me know and we can work something out. Could be a good way to get something cheapish and have some spare cash for extra glass
