what camber are you running? looks like maybe 1.5 degrees?
more camber is needed, flaring will only ruin the lines of the s15.

Yeh 1.5camber. Not keen on flaring the gaurds, don't like the look of it. Will probably keep it as it is for now an see how it goes!

Haven't updated in a while, there's not really much to tell you. I took the car to cypher to check the tune and do a power run, everything was pretty good a little bit lean in places but thats all cleaned up now, it made 340hp@1.2bar on waperf dyno.
This morning I decided to see why my front bumper was so loose, took 2 screws out and the bumper slid off, problem found! While in was under there I happend to look at the cooler piping and found this
http://i785.photobucket.com/albums/yy139/UK-Rushy/6e06b952.jpg
http://i785.photobucket.com/albums/yy139/UK-Rushy/cefcf1f3.jpg
Prett surprised that it was running fine an made the power it did on the dyno! Got it welded up at last minute but cars not running yet as I forgot to buy a hose for the catch can to intake pipe. It will be interesting to see how it drives

UK-Rushy
24-04-2011, 06:29 PM
Ah well all fixed now. Took her out for a drive an its a completely different car, much more response and power and not as much lag :) will pit it on the dyno to check everything's ok as there's alot more air going through now!
timmm
26-04-2011, 09:03 AM
i hope you filed the hole the cooler pipe goes through or put rubber around it. wouldn't want it to happen again.

26-04-2011, 09:53 AM
wow, big hole to find. Must of made an awesome difference.
UK-Rushy
26-04-2011, 04:48 PM
The guy who welded it made it 3 times as thick and il most probably re do the whole piping to make sure it's all good.
Yeh its made a massive difference less lag, more power and alot more response it'll be interesting to see the difference on the dyno

that looks really good! fibreglass or plastic? gaps and fitment looks spot on! I like the look of the lip in the middle
UK-Rushy
02-05-2011, 07:16 PM
I'm still not sure wether im going genuine or splitfires!
Cheers! It's fiberglass :) I can't see the point spending ~$1200 on a front bar! That money will do better elsewhere! The guy who painted it did an awsome job, dropped it off saturay morning and was ready Sunday morning :)

02-05-2011, 07:32 PM
for fibreglass that fits really nice!
UK-Rushy
02-05-2011, 07:38 PM
Yeh I was pretty surprised how well it fit, it did need minor sanding for the passenger cooler pipe and also where it meets drivers side fender, also it's got 10 bolts holding it on instead of the 2 on the m sports :p

Picked the bar up off a member on SilviaWA! Was pretty lucky to get one that fits this good!
Jaybee: I havnt paid for the splitfires yet so now is your chance to convice me :p why I should get standard coils?
Also on another note, tightening power steering belt today happend to notice a noise from turbo area and where the dump meets the ex housing, 1 bolt had snapped, 1's disappeared and the other 2 are fucked!! Gasket was pretty loose. More power maybe???

For me I think the front bar sits too high, looks a little funny. Is there a lip that goes with this front bar?
UK-Rushy
12-05-2011, 04:52 PM
Yeh I see what you mean! They dont make any for the aero but I'm sure others can be made to fit, I was looking at a mates wrx the other day and the lip on his looked awsome, might fit with a bit of modding!
But before that Il lower the front abit more and see how it looks as at the moment it looks like it siting lower on the rear
flamo_damo
13-05-2011, 11:45 AM
I reckon lower it another 2" all round, should get the tyre tucking then and it will also hide the difference in hight between the front bar and skirts.
tinto
13-05-2011, 01:25 PM
Looking good - I'm surprised at the height difference, but I guess Nissan had to think of warranty claims more than M sports did :)
You'd need to switch to OEM aero side skirts for the heights to be matched.
Those look like M Sports style, which are pretty deep skirts.
If you had the standard front bar, I'd suggest the topstage lip (it is what I have added, paired with M Sports skirts).

Haven't updated this lately!
Decided to get splitfires, for the price I couldn't say no! They were $480 delivered! So now there in along with new plugs so should be going on the dyno sometime soon. Also bought some kumho ku31 Tyres, got them for a good price aswell! And over the weekend decided to make an pod filter heat shield... It's shit and when I want a proper one il get someone else to do it!
Forgot to mention I also purchased a varex exhaust, it's so good driving at 5.30am an sounding like a swift!
Will update after it goes back on the dyno
UK-Rushy
02-09-2011, 05:25 PM
Haven't gone back to the dyno yet as new turbo kit is on the way so will need tuning then anyway!
Took the car on an antilag cruise a few weekends ago and blew manifold->exhaust housing gasket aswell as loosing 3 out of 4 studs an nuts! So replaced all them an replaced hard lines with braided. Also purchased front and rear adjustable sway bars and it handles really well!
Also decided to replace the rear lights:
http://i785.photobucket.com/albums/yy139/UK-Rushy/a3396f7a.jpg
But passenger light was faulty so sent it back and new light arrived today which is also faulty so I'm really pissed off!

Cheers for the replies! Picked the car up last night but the dynos booked out till new year! Here's how it looks now:

Starts making boost at around 2700rpm in 4th set at 1bar. The spool sounds so good! Can't wait till tune

Should probably update this!
Car got tuned last weekend and made 352rwhp on just over 19 psi on xspeed dyno and making full boost by 3800! It's so much more responsive than the 3082r. Obviously there's more room for power but been a stock engine I wouldn't like to guess how long it will last! But I will be keeping a close eye on the knocks!
Will upload dyno pic when I can

Gtx3071r yeah?
A guy is going to screw some decent boost through a rb25 with one on Friday with e85. Should be interesting :-)

Just a normal 3076r!
That will be pretty interesting to see the results! I was tempted to get gtx3076 twin scroll but finances were abit low!

Ahhhh, I was on the phone, couldn't see the compressor blades.
Nothing wrong with GT3076R, great turbos... The GTX3071R looks like it's similar in power response anyway and the GTX3076R is more like GT3082R with more top end

We compared the 3082r vs gtx3076r on a friends sr20 and found that they made the exact same power curve as eachother haha, the boys at ASG were quite suprised haha.

I wonder if the identical power curves could actually be due to a restriction somewhere?
Sorry to go off topic just sharing some info :)

Yeh I'm really impressed with the 3076 an the spool sound is awsome haha
Wow thats pretty interesting. What rear housings are they? Were they on the same boost as each other? Also what's the cost of gtx3076r vs 3082r?
both turbos ran the same 0.82 rear
big difference in cost, 3082r is around 1600 new with rear housing, the gtx3076r at the time was 2,000 delivered i think
also the setup looks laggy because the car is running a pretty long diff, i think its an auto diff because he gets quite high speeds before redline in each gear.
im thinking if he changed the diff ratio he might see a better spool time
