Agreed, a lot. Went from 2nd to 5th on the final corner in my last race last night cause someone shunted me at the apex and I copped a 4 second penalty or something.. It's a lot easier if people just avoid contact at all costs and if you bump someone wide by accident then slow it up and let them resume their position. If this doesn't happen then call people on it.

It's a domino effect though, once someone is in contention for a win and they get bumped, they will bump anyone else to get back to the front. Online racing is SRS BUSINESS!

YES. Said it many times last night, it's no help to those who have only just bought the game and gone straight online though. I think open garage + BYO cars so those with no cars can still pick a decent race car if they want to (anything up to Zonda if they're crazy enough)

I was hanging to get my GTR out there and compare it against other cars people have built like I did the other night with DTSN32/Daveo

Somehow got a 3rd in my first race @ Bahrain after staying out on softs till the last lap

Have backed it up with Pole at Canada, only to lose on the last lap when the sprinkle turned into a downpour and I was on hard tyres, 2nd at Spa after losing the win with a 12 second pitstop, and a 2nd @ Monza all in my first season :D

Open garage doesnt have to mean 1000hp GTR's it could be anything from Hakosuka GTRs to RUF's.... Garage doesnt have to be modded but fuck it gives it a variety rather than a gt5 version of the v8 supercars.

If you want to take ur GTR for runs tonite im keen to hit the burg :)

How about this for a schedule :

7:30 - 9:00 closed garage, small tracks, low laps, lots of games.
9:00 - 10:30 open garage, open tracks
10:30 - late closed garage, bigger tracks and more laps bit enduro style.

LOL dude turn the difficulty up properly or turn the assists off. Soft tyres won't last a full race, they'll die and you'll spin gaurenteed if you were doing it properly. How fkn boring would it be if you were getting those result in a Lotus in the 1st season! There are tracks the Torro Rosso will be able to win some races (Hockenheim comes to mind) but it's mainly due to the games flaw because obviously it shouldn't be able to. Anyway on topic will have a look for GT5 if I am on!

Haha Im only doing 20% races Jazza - sif sit there for 1.5 hours at a time.

It is set to custom - expert level with tc on and driving line on while i learn the tracks.

Some epic battles had and for the most part the cleanest GT5 racing I've ever had !

Yer it started low hp, short tracks and wound up through the night. Got to be able to drive sh*tter cars as well as the race cars :)

MGR, Manna, Jaybee, Tricks and a few others all top drivers.

Agreed on both points. Cheers heaps for organising. Had a ball for the couple of races I was there. Either I'm not as bad as I thought, or others were going easy on me. Hahaha.

Most annoying point is changing cars, then having to change tyres every time. :(

Thats what it was set to which is why everyone is complaining. As each time you swap car rules the cars go to default tyres.

Then you have to manually change to racing soft, which some ppl forget to do and then get owned.

Fair enough. I have never set up the rules, so didn't know that restriction. Pretty crap though. The tyres were brilliant when you remember to change them. I certainly did a lot better when I remembered to change them as opposed to not changing them. Hahahas
