PS3 Question

ok, i've got a 1TB external HDD plugged into my PS3...

for some reason, it only goes so many folders deep, then just says there is nothing else in there.
however if you go press triangle, then 'display all', all the videos/folders will show up now.

1) why the fuck?
and
2) how can i make it automatically display all, all the time?

it shits me to tears, as my TV remote will control my PS3 thanks to Bravia Sync, however i cant choose half my videos as i dont have a triangle button on my TV remote, so i have to bust out the controller.

Same issue on mine and with the mrs PS3 as well.

Yep, PS3 can only go so deep into sub folders without going "show all" pretty stupid.

I just upgraded my 40Gig ps3 to 500Gig internal drive myself, got new drive for $80

Hassle to copy everything across but would also solve problem... Can get 750Gig and 1T 2.5" internal drives too for more cash

yeah i copied across the folder of stuff i watch all the time as i've got a 320gb, i'll just buy a PS3 remote to deal with the triangle button then.

Put all your videos in a folder called VIDEO it should go 3 from there (Video/folder1/folder2/folder3) and all music in MUSIC and will do the same.

yeah i've got that marc, but for example mine goes "Video/TV/Archer/Season 1", and says its empty.

so if i drop that last folder, it should work?

they work fine once it tell it to display all, it must just be how deep my folders go.
