Dont think so cause a popper allows access from the outside like a door handle. Hence the reason they put poppers on not a complete shave.. But not sure.

yeh but its the fact the handle and shit is gone, like say you have a crash and they cant get in the car because theres no handle. thats what im thinking will be the reason it gets turned down.

Put open stickers on it. Like on drag cars.

anyone actually had door poppers and been declined? or had a close mate who had them and was declined?
just theres always a tendency for 2nd hand info and most times its hardly reliable. not having a go at anyone btw. just dont wanna put cash on the line with this thing. its a mint ute everything else would pass piece of piss. just worried about them.

you still have handles on the inside and depending on water pressure on how deep you go and how quick you get there you wouldnt be able to use normal handles anyways. Also dont alot of cars lock once u start moving anyways ? so if u went into the drink the doors would be locked on the outside.

if its that good.. buy a set of cheap stock doors.. get it passed and put good doors back on?
Im pretty sure as long as there is a form of manual entry you are fine. (last time I checked..) that said it may have changed.

Any chance the door poppers are the reason why it has a yellow sticker?

Dont know why they wouldnt pass it. The rod coming through the door is still connected to the locking mechanism. Rather than using the handle you are pulling or pushing the rod like the handle would.

I think that if the vehicle was subject to ADRs, then changing the mechanism (even if it's still completely functional) would invalidate the ADR approval for that part of the vehicle.
Think about aftermarket headlights as another example.
Of course, you're always going to find people that say "I got my car over the pits with these, ergo they are legal", but that's a fantasy world populated by poor logic.
If you really wanted to know, then you wouldn't ask on a car forum, you would speak to an engineer. But it's fun to discuss.
