I had a look last night but couldn't see where you set up a car club. It may not yet be implemented until they test the servers with 5 million people trying to access them simultaneously.

There are other features not yet implemented yet either like Youtube video uploading and hosting remote races from your web browser. The remote race update patch is scheduled for a December release.

Of course, they haven't specified which year.

Nah its actually not that bad.

Because you sit quite far back from the screen.

Sort of no real different to watching a 3D movie as you do focus a bit more.

Have played NBA 2k11 for 3 hrs straight and been fine

For some reason I've always had trouble with oversteer using my G25, but with a controller I found it easier :confused: (can't control the backend and then spin out :()

The Stealth pack vehicles are awesome.. R10 TDi, WOW.

The vehicle packs are in your garage from the beginning, and its tempting to jump into a high powered car and own all the open races straight away.

Its alright - I have it all set to full strength and stuff, im still very twitchy and get the wiggles all the time, but it feels heaps better than prologue i think

my tip to not spin out is to keep your foot in it!

i know there are some things missing but once you start playing the game you do not even notice them! PD really out did them self!

I found the settings you change with mod make a HUGE difference. a lot more than previous games.

had play with an FD i bought last night doing some drifting, was way too snappy initally but a play with the suspension settings and diff made a huge difference.

I'll step up and say it really isn't what I was hoping for. After playing all morning it is just frustrating. Each race I need to turn off all the babysitting options like ABS and set the traction settings to Realistic not fairytale, and then after all that my modded M3 cant do a skid in second. Heavily modded Lambo cant peel out around a corner even. Still early days, I'm finding the challenge races and licensing ones easy as, AI isn't all that difficult. Just annoying as fuck when they nudge you and you tap a cone or something on the edge of the track and it fails you.
Oh and another whinge is I bought headers and accidentally clicked to not install them. Then I go to my garage and they weren't in my tuning section. So I go back to the shop and it says I own them. Had to purchase the fkn things again.

So what are you guys doing in regards to your vehicle purchase path?

Buying everything in sight, or picking and choosing?

I have the mx5 to dominate the lower end races (even hosed the S15 and the S13 which was good, no mods except for air filter), I plan on picking up a late model STi next and then bombing the shit out of it.. then a GTR.

Same strategy as I had with GT5 Prologue.. buy what I need to win the staged races, and a couple of cars I want on top of that.. until I earn enough money to buy anything and everything in sight :)

On top of that, I obviously need to purchase enough cars to get through the vehicle specific races.

I found that the Go Kart races give you pretty good coin for not a lot of work, but I need to try the NASCARs to see what that will net me. The Kart's are pretty fun too, especially the in-kart view!

I've not tried skids yet, but my M3 and Lamborghini LP640 all did masssive skids through the corners without even trying! All driving aids off, ABS set to 1.

Only just started doing up a 69 Vette to compete in all the classic races after I wasted money on two expensive second hand muscles that were POS (premium car modded ended up being cheaper and better).

I bought an early model STI as first car and have won bulk cash doing challenges and shit so far, and poured that money into my Chromeline cars. Lambo high speed runs on the fwy in the rain is a bit bullshit, but rain looks good. I was right about the handling etc in the vids leading up to the release, they had the wet road aid on. Bombed Lambo trying to power out of a corner = tank slapping fun.

Still cant manage to put my M3 into a corner without it locking up, even just touching the brakes. I dont want to have to turn ABS on (as only suckers and cheats use driving aids :) ) so will take some practice.

just watched some reviews etc as i hadnt seen any yet, watched a few vids, seems like damage on it is pretty dissapoint and overall the game is a little dissapointing considering how long it took to come out (ign, gamsepot etc), it looks like it plays sounds and eveything the same as previous GT games just with improved graphics, and a few tweaks, thatll dissapoint me coz i got bored of prologue after 20 minutes coz it felt like been there done that with 4 previous games.
if they combined the crash effects/detail of nfs hot pursuit it might be a little better, gt5 still looks abit arcadey rather then sim, seems like u can still just bash your way through to win rather then have a driving stradegy. My opinion may change when i actually play the game, just going off previous games and video reviews atm.

ill still pick it up nonetheless and im sure ill still have a blast with it now seeing as this time i have a playseat and g27 to go with it rather the previous 4 games i just had the controller.

Press triangle start of each race if you're using wheel. No clutch on controller is annoying.

you don't have to do this, if you have selected the H pattern on the g25 just press the clutch and it turns itself one

must say learning to use the clutch propperly took a solid hour, got the dance down now, left foot braking and then a hop across to change while the right foot brakes, good fun!

First, you need to already have music on your PS3 Hard drive. Then set up a playlist. When that's done, go into your game, go into options and select Audio. You'll find custom sound track or something like that. Select the playlist you want, and then tick "enable custom sound track". Then your music will play during races or driving.
