OK Knowing there's a few cluey guys around here im hoping you will provide some insight into the problem.

Mates car was clunking into second so he decided to replace the gearbox with a known working one and replace the clutch and associated parts whilst the shop was at it. The shop did the work everything new swapped and system machine bled but wont engage reverse? fine through all the other gears just wont go into reverse. Shops at loss as to why.

All Parts brand new
Hoping you guys will have some idea's

100% sure its a known good box? sounds like something to do with the interlocking/detent system (more internal gearbox)

Will it go in with engine off? If it will then problem is in clutch operation/spigot, if it wont problem is in box or selector mecanisim
