Hi All

What is the best way of transferring emails etc from Microsoft to Apple?

Just using the generic mail program on the Mac or do/should purchase a different email program?

Any help appreciated

http://www.techhit.com/outlook/export_import_outlook_to_entourage_apple_mac_mail. html

Mail.app (default OS X mail client) works fine.

Entourage in Office for Mac is good.
I have a demo version of Office 2003 that I can give you if you want.

Though, if you can find a copy of MS Office for Mac, the full version of Outlook has a lot more "export to file" functions than outlook express does.

Mozilla Thunderbird can import mail, contacts, settings etc from outlook.
Then you can use thunderbird on mac as your email client, you just need to copy across the newly created info to the mac install from the windows install.

If you have calander entries you want to move also, you can either export them from directly, or use the lightning (thunderbird calander plug in) to import.

If you want to use mac mail instead of thunderbird, this is apparently and easy transfer.

Why would you buy Outlook for Mac when Mail.app is built in? Microsoft products on OS X are shit.

I've sent you a PM.

Same reason you use Outlook for Windows, as Outlook Express blows just as much as Mail for Mac does!
