awesome weekend. sat out the first qualifyer, had tyre shake issues in the next 2 qualifiers, still managed 7.2's with massive peddles off the line. got matched up with beefcake and the aero car for first round, and as i said last night, "thanks for getting me the job dude, but we r gonna beat ya" and we did, with a package good enough for lane choice in the A final. our opponent red lit, handing us the win, luckily, as we were a bit off our dial in. wheel spin @ 3/4 track unsettled wayne a little and he got off the gas.

which puts us in #1 position im pretty sure, which is awesome.

also, good to see you washed the soarer luke!

We were leaving the track this morning to watch a whole heap of classic targa style cars come in to race, would have been a good day to watch some sideways action at the track .
Well this wed is remove silicone day to see how bad our cracks are in the heads, time for Harris to weld some more magic

you guys stay at the track overnight? fuck that. kaine got bugger all de-methanoled before they put it on the trailer, so when we got back to the shop we just had to do the ute, got out at about 2. also got to have a little fiddle with the new LJ thats coming.

few more meets pulling packages like that and you could take kaine's record away from him. only car with original chassis rails to win a super sedan championship in WA.

nah i didn't last night but Paul did , i had to take my other mechanic home, its mint sleeping over, all ya do is get on the piss an talk skids all night to anyone who can understand you haha ,
I just went back in the morn and pushed the Mazda in and take down the awning , its only a 45 min job for the two of us every seedy headache Sunday morning :( , but still would have been good to sit back and watch classic rally guys on sunday

LMAO since it got hailed damaged I just don't love her as much as I used to.
I'm still not sure I know which crew member you are, even though we were pitted next door. Come over and introduce yourself haha. were you the one who came and told us about the rain coming?
We had a pretty crappy weekend. The bike stalled on one of the qualifiers off the line on Friday night and then on Saturday it crept when I got on to the two step. I got off it just in time to stop it breaking the beams, then just snapped the throttle open but it only went 9.8 cause it was in so deep, wasn't good enough to win. Though I can say I have been beaten by two finalists in a row now haha.
The rest of the racing was pretty cool though. Top Fuel was awesome, very professional show. Greene Machine 5.27, Mark Drew 6.52, Robin Judd 5.83, Jeff Clarke and those power wheelstands in the dragster, nuts!

yeah, was me that said rain was coming, didnt recognise you without your media vest on!

pilko running 5.77 twice in a row was pretty cool as well. a lot of our cars didnt run anywhere near as bad as i thought they would, considering last meet the air dropped down to 60ft for the finals. very happy we had an aircon unit down there. didnt use the cooler function, just the fan, but i kept managing to get the side of the car the fan was blowing on, and so engine heat wasnt too bad.

exactly what i was talking about with the colours. can't see the matt black car except for the tail lights past 1/2 track, but the white car draws the eye the whole race... time for matt white spray can job i think.
