Not too clued up on this... after some info for a friend. What needs to be done here and who should I contact to get it fixed? Just a patch up and paint or something more?

wow thats some movement there..
foundation movement has caused that.u could remove all loose render that has cracked and get it rerendered and re-whiteset and then paint.

or can scratch out the cracks in a V shape, fill them with polyfiller and sand back and paint, they will either appear again if the movement happens again. or stay away.

worse case you can run flushing tape over the cracks and sand back and paint, the tape will stop the cracks reappearing or been visible if the foundations continue to move.

Ouch... thats a big Crack...

Poly Filler might be the quickest & easiest way to go

Anyone have any handyman type persons to recommend? Location is SOR, near Riverton. Just need them patched and painted up.

honestly man its not worth paying someone..buy some polyfiller and a small scraper, scratch out the cracks and put polyfiller over them. first nice and flat so the scraper is flat against the wall both sides, then give it some time to dry/reduce. then do 2nd coat... wait till drys, sand with sanding block..persons house shows appreciation aka gobbys =profit ?

polyfiller
paint scraper about 3 inch
sanding block
around $25.

handyman comeing to do a 10min job. minimum $100

Yepp If i was to do a job like that and you wanted it painted to you would be looking at the 250 mark for just the patching
Better to do it yourself, Easy Job too

Thanks guys, will try and negotiate handywork for gobby. Do the cracks really need to be scratched/scrapped out though?

I'm afraid the house needs to be completely demolished and rebuilt, it's your only option!
