Hey kids
Anyone used this company before, they're based in QLD. He built a clutch for my mates Evo, which was very decent. Just wondering if that was a once off or if he actually can provide decent stuff.

Many guys on SAU swear by Jim's clutches.

have had one in a previous car, did the job and was well priced a few years ago when I bought it.
Locally you can also look at Autoclutch if you dont want to buy off the shelf

got a mate with a RB25 silvia with a Jim Berry that he raves about, I ordered a Jim Berry clutch when i was looking at doing the 6spd conversion into my aristo - told him what i wanted, sent him my stock clutch / pressure plate - it came back and then i sold the 6spd conversion kit without trying it out :(

They rebuilt my hks twin plate in the 32gtr. No more rattles and clutch point made it piss easy to drive.

I've heard a lot of very good things about NPC, and that is where I'll be getting my next clutch. Light pedal twin-plates that take absolute punishment seems pretty good to me

What specs did you go for Mal ? Ive a stock pressure plate / clutch sitting here that may come in handy for the 6spd :)

I basically told him i wanted something that would hold 500RWHP in a car that weighs 1800kg's ish that would be used for mostly street but the occasional track & drag.
he built something to suit.
then i wised up and realised the 6spd into the aristo was a stupid idea and sold it ... now i wish i had of kept it for "other" purposes ...

Thanks Mal, bloody good info. all the same as will get him to build one up for me. The HKS triple plate isnt exactly daily driver material but boy it handles the power.
Wised up you're kidding me the 6spd in the aristo is a whole new ballgame :) Best decision i ever made converting to manaul !
Jim Berry clutch in the near future for me.

i got a "direct" clutch, it works fantastic but when it comes time for a new clutch i will deffinately be going a jim berry.
obviously these clutches have a massive following in the rb communities, be hard pressed to find much better for a 25 box in a twin plate clutch

mate has a NPC twin plate is his 400 odd hp silvia. Has handled plenty of abuse and is pretty simple to drive on the street and in traffic.
